"Thank you so much for your review! Looking forward to seeing you in the fall for your first Total Care Maintenance visit. Enjoy the summer."
We are very satisfied with Gordon's work. Have had no problems, heater is working great! Actually received a thank you note from the company thanking us for selecting them to do our repair work and to let us know there was a lifetime warranty on all repaired parts. We were very impressed. Definitely will call them in the future if we have any further problems with our heater or air conditioner.
We do not appreciate the attitude from this company and, although we did at one time, we do not recommend this company. We will seek elsewhere.
Elite HVAC came out and did a thorough evaluation of our house and provided us with several different options and price ranges for a whole house heating and air unit. We selected a quote that included relocating our existing furnace to the attic, replacing all the existing duct work and the installation of a couple extra registers for more efficient air flow, and which qualified for a $1500 rebate from SCE. Their crew arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently over 2-3 days to complete the installation and provide us with answers to our questions and instruction on how to use and program the thermostat.
The only thing that is keeping me from giving them the highest ratings throughout is that we've had a few issues with regard their follow up. It took several weeks and several phone calls to get an air filter they promised to follow up on for the heater, and another couple of weeks and more calls to get the thermostat replaced due to it not keeping the correct time and the display being a little buggy. Not big issues, but it took repeated calls and several weeks to get done.
Also, this installation was done in November, 2013. We were told that our $1500 rebate can take as long as 3 months to get. We've tried following up several times to get a status, but as of this date (almost 4 months later), we still do not have a status or an idea of when to expect our rebate.
Overall, we are pleased with our heating and air conditioning unit and would recommend Elite HVAC due to the thoroughness of their evaluation and the several options and price ranges they provided us which allowed us to feel comfortable about the decision we made.
When I balked at the Service Champion guy and told him he was scamming me, he then had a sales guy come out to give me on price on a complete new A/C system for $6200 (probably not a bad price for a new Lennox system.)
Anyway, I knew that there wasn't anything seriously wrong and that I just needed to get the outside fan running. So after sending the Service Champion people on their way, I found "Comfort Elite" in Orange willing to come out the next morning and do the repair.
The Comfort Elite guy showed up early the next day as promised. The bad parts were already removed. In fact, the Comfort Elite guy determined that only one of the 2 capacitors was defective. He replaced the bad one and the contactor which was highly worn, then proceeded to charge me $470 for less than 30 minutes of work. Because it was so blasted hot and humid, I reluctantly paid and was back in business.
I have since checked online pricing for all of these parts. Had I been willing to wait for delivery, I could have paid less than $200 for the parts. I never mind paying a fair price, but in this case I feel I was completely taken advantage of and price gouged.
The service was great, so far, we are still waiting on the rebate.
The price was reasonable.
They were very polite, very clean, they cleaned everything.
They moved it to the ceiling, which was a bit of a mess, but they clean everything out.
They cleaned asbestos out of the ceiling.
Did everything very well, and were on time, exactly a little early.
Which is great, no problems.
When we get the rebate the price will be cheaper.
