They are very good. They were very careful, detail-oriented, and professional.

Nice folks to work with. Pretty good work but it took too long to finish. It would have gone much better if everyone showed up every day as agreed to get all of the work done on time. Price was ok, but, we would have liked a more thorough job to be done. Unfortunately, some of the interior doors are now peeling and others have both dull and shiny spots due to incorrect preparation before being painted.

John and his team did a great job.
They prepped very well. Taped off and covered all of the furniture. Caulked all of the baseboards.
Minor repair completed on all of the baseboards.
Great job.

They were compliant and they didn't charge us. They followed-up on their stated intention, they said we could call them back, we did, and they kept their word.

Did the job in one day. Came when they said they would and cleaned up when they left.

They were very neat and clean. They spent more time prepping than painting to be sure not to make a mess. He was very meticulous about how he taped up the entry way to make sure that there was no paint coming into the house. They did an excellent job with the painting, it looks beautiful. When he put the hardware back on, he didn't get it perfect. It sticks a little. So it would be better if maybe the owner could send out someone that is an expert with getting the hardware back on perfectly.

El Maestro was one of three estimates I got from Angie's List vendors. All the quotes were close and I was impressed by each of the presentations. El Maestro fitted me into their schedule first (I needed the work done and the smell gone prior to a scheduled surgery). Jon helped with the color selection. He and his crew were professional and the work looks great. The work was scheduled around the 4th of July holiday so it ended up taking a little longer than expected but in the end I was very pleased.

They did a very good job. They used tarps and plastic to protect all part of the house and cleaned up at the end of every day. One of the rooms had a lofted ceiling. They took their time to do a very good job of painting. I have used them before and I will use them again. They started the job on the assigned day and worked continuously until the job was completed.

Cleaned up every day. Was nice, professional, eager to please, and good at what they do. No complaints. I will use them again.

The proprietor was congenial and obviously cared about the work to be done. The workers were on time, but a bit messy. After calling the owner, things were cleaned up to my satisfaction.

From my initial call to John, the owner, my call was returned within 24 hours if not sooner. He came over to my house looked at the painting that I needed done, gave me the estimate. We set up a day for one of his painters, Antonio, to come over and start the job. Antonio was prompt and very neat and clean. He was very meticulous about the way he taped up the door and entry way. He told me exactly what he was going to do. And when the job was completed, he cleaned up everything and my doors looked amazing. Antonio had to remove the hardware from my doors before painting and when they were reinstalled they were a off, so I called John, told him the problem and my first day off, Antonio was back at my house to fix the hardware. The front door knob is still a little loose and when the exterior of the kitchen door was being painted some of the paint got on the house, so I will be calling John back so those things can be fixed. When I was discussing the color and type of paint I wanted with Antonio, he was telling me what kind of paint that I had used on my entry way and ceilings and how I wanted the same paint used on my doors. I explained to Antonio that I was concerned that because they were going to use a different brand of paint than the one I had already used on my entryway and wanted my entry way to match the doors exactly. Antonio assured me that if I wanted a certain brand of paint and color they would use it, and they did. When I need some other painting project done at my house I will call El Maestro Painting again. John and Antonio were very easy to work with. They listened to what I wanted and I am very happy with the painting that was done on my house. I would recommend them.

I had a very good experience in dealing with El Maestro Painting. They were upfront about the issues, such as sample selection, cost estimate, etc. and did an excellent job at my house - a ~1,600 sft home where they redid the entire interior painting (walls, ceilings, doors, trims).

I spent $900 on the job. I have a small, one bedroom condominium. They scraped all the ceilings and repainted them. The job was good. I thought the price was high, but I didn’t check around for prices as I was in a hurry to get the work done. The quality of their work was very good. I will use them again in the future.

I got El Maestro Painting Company's name from Angie's List. I called, and John returned my call the same day. He met me the following afternoon to give me an estimate, and his crew started the job the next day. His estimate was about $500 less that the other bids I received. Unlike other estimates I received, John did not pressure me into detail work that his company could do for me (scroll work, crown molding). At that point, these finishing details were not in my budget. But the thing that impressed me most about John was the high regard in which he held employees. His foreman, George, lived up to and exceeded John's praise of him. George was the person I communicated with every other day or so, and he was a great communicator. He listened and wrote down everything I wanted regarding colors and was able to tell me what information he needed from me in order to complete the job in a timely manner. When I dropped by without notice, George and his crew were hard at work. John also kept in good touch, monitoring the work that his crew was doing. The entire job took about 10 days from start to finish. They were able to meet my tight time table as I needed to move in about two weeks after I contracted with them. The work itself was perfect. When I did the final walk through, there were some very minor touch ups that they took care of right away. At the end of the job, the floors were very clean, no paint drops or scuffs. I really cannot say enough good things about this company. I would use them again in a heart beat. I wish they did plumbing and tile because I would have them back to redo my bathrooms!

Jon from El Maestro and his crew were very experienced and did a wonderful job. He met his estimate of six day completion. They cleaned up every day before leaving the job site. I am totally satisfied with the job and will use them again for all my painting needs. One example of the extra service was when I could not decide between two colors for the stucco from the chip samples, Jon offered for the price of sample quarts of paint to color two large sections on the wall which made it easy to choose the color we wanted.

I always like it when a contractor can describe his work. By this I mean answer questions not only has to how be will prep, paint, and clean, but also any difficult areas necessitating more care. I asked question not only of Jon but also his assistants. They all know there work and can describe it. They are respectful of your belongs. Treating everything with care. And also cleaning and returning items back to their original spots. With this company you can leave your home to run errands.

John and his crew went right to work preparing our home to be painted on the interior. They took extra precaution to prevent problems by properly covering and protecting our wood floor, carpet, etc. The quality of the work is top notch, I know because I am a general contractor and I used to build custom homes. The price was fair and the work is excellent. Everyone in the crew was pleasant and courteous. You won't be sorry if you select El Maestro for your next painting project.

We purchased a townhome which was literally all covered inside with 20 year old wallpaper. John did a good job peeling it off ( even sanding off areas where it did not peel!). Walls and ceilings were then all painted. He also did doors, trims and baseboards for us. The wooden cabinets were also refreshed with some varnish.the house looked very clean and fresh after he was all done. It was a job very well done with a pleasent professional attitude.
