I am very sad to give this review. I was prepared to write an excellent review and even send a note on our local NextDoor App regarding the (initial) service and response I received. I found the company online as I was looking up reviews of other companies who performed service in the area. I called to set an appointment and the customer service rep said they would give a price after they came out. I declined because I didn't want to put off the service but didn't want to get an extremely high price when they came out and it be too late to contact another plumber. Before I could look up a number for a different company, I received a call back from a manager at the company to see if they could provide service and he was able to quote me a price for the service. Since they were so overwhelmingly responsive I decided to set an appointment for later that afternoon. I received a call and a text notifying me that the service technician was on his way. He arrived on time and looking to provide excellent service. He and his partner were very kind and very attentive to my requirements and provided a great deal of information about my job. He completed the job and I was able to pay the exact price quoted by the initial gentleman who called me back to set an appointment. I even made arrangements to meet with the technician later this week to explore other avenues to permanently rectify the issue with my main drain -- basically roots penetrate the seams of the drain, which is made out of clay pipe; so, servicing the drain to clear the roots from the pipes is a regular requirement. BUT THEN THE NIGHTMARE ENSUED! I left home right after the service was completed to pick up a child from school. Until that time, no one was home besides myself so no one used the toilets after the service was rendered. I returned within an hour after leaving to find that my toilet was completely backed up. After someone used the toilet and flushed, it overflowed, flooding the bathroom floor. No problem I thought. A part of the blockage must have gotten trapped in the pipe backing things up. The only issue was that, now, the toilet did not flush and water would started coming up through the tub drain if I tried to plunge and flush the toilet. So, I called the company back to see if they would send someone out to remedy the issue. I figured it was just a minor inconvenience with a very simple remedy. When I called, apparently, I reached the after hours "answering service" or so I was told. The lady, who took my call first and, later, the gentleman, who came on the line to deal with my request to get service, suggested that ALL OF THE COMPANY'S TECHNICIANS WERE BOOKED FOR THE EVENING; THEREFORE, THEY COULD NOT ADDRESS MY ISSUE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY!!!!! REALLY? You can't be serious. Remember, I could flush my toilet and use the shower earlier in the morning. I called to get service I get EVERY year in order to prevent a complete back up. Now, after getting service, I cannot use the toilet NOR the shower!!! I have two kids, it is 8 PM, and I was told, "Sorry, but the best they can do is schedule someone to come out SOMETIME TOMORROW!!!" After much protesting and refusing to accept that solution, the gentleman who came on the line second said he would try to get a message out to the company to see if he can get a response but he couldn't make any promises. As a business owner myself, I cannot believe that a company that has nearly a 5 star rating for customer service, and who deals in an area that could meet with emergency issues such as this, has an arrangement with their scheduling/customer service that DOES NOT ALLOW them to contact a service manager regarding an EMERGENCY. The BEST they could do is tell me that they will send a message to the company and see if someone will get it. I am completely nuts about that. I don't understand such a policy. I do not know whether this is the fault of the plumbing company for setting up a process that is so bad they have absolutely NO WAY TO DEAL WITH CRITICAL SITUATIONS that may arise unexpectedly, OR, whether the people working at the scheduling service refused to think outside the box and take action to remedy a bad customer situation that was likely caused by service performed by the company a few hours earlier, OR BOTH -- the company has an answering/scheduling service that deserves worse than a failing grade AND the company deserves a failing grade because they have no way to deal with emergencies. In the end, I don't know what to say. Obviously, some of this review is a rant b/c I am in the middle of the issue and I still have no solution for a plugged up toilet and drain. I need to cook, have to deal with two kids getting ready for school the next day, and I have not heard a peep from the company, now an hour after calling the "answering service" about my critical issue that arose likely as a direct result of the service I received a few hours earlier. So, if you can get service provided by this company in the early morning and you are SURE nothing can go wrong after hours, then by all means, use this company. The people during the day and the people who came to my home were VERY friendly and attentive and detailed. However, if there is even the slightest chance that you could run into an issue after hours, I'll leave it to you to decide. The service technicians were very nice and very helpful. Honestly, I really think the company meant to do the best job. However, I got caught in a terrible situation that was completely unexpected. Sadly, the company is unable to respond, AT ALL, and I have no way to rectify the issue beyond having my husband snake the drain at around 10 or 11 PM, after he gets home from work OR by calling a different company to remedy the issue NOW only a few hours after my initial service appointment with this plumber. The high marks I would have given based on my initial treatment were completely shot because they have absolutely no way to respond to my critical issue that arose only a few hours later and just a few minutes after they closed for the day. WOW! Now I know. My first question will be to ask whether the plumbing company has emergency response service available.
