DO NOT DO IT! Do not use this company. I cannot tell you how horrible the customer service is. They gave me the complete run around after their installer took 10 hours to install a tankless water heater. He hung it to the house by a piece of wood and the gas line sticking out. No one would reply to me the entire day left messages the sales guy Eddy was a joke. A new guy came out to do the re-install it did a better job still no hot water. Eddy lied and said his manager said if I took down the bad review they would discount me 500 wow extortion. After days of getting Luke warm water i called another plumber. I contacted Do It Right several times for a refund and have them make it right and again no one was available. Eddy suggested a quick fix which the new plumber stated wound not have fixed anything and Do It Right wanted to charge me another 350. Not to mention Kira the receptionist sent me an email stating because i had hot water in one faucet the water heater worked! I didn't have hot water anywhere else! Are you kidding! That's an installation problem! In her email she mentioned to be respectful and professional in speaking with them. I called numerous times more frustrated than the last time understandably so. They should take their own advice and learn the meaning of professionalism. When someone finally returned my call a guy named Jerry he stated they would not refund me anything. I asked for a reason my refund was being denied to be sent in writing he said he would pass the message along (again!) and if it was legally required of them to give it to me they would. They offered to come out again and i would be insane to have them come out and charge me more money to fix something they didn't install properly in the first place! Next steps are to contact the contractors licensing board. Do not use this company. Now Edan who is the owner replied to this review after I was told I could not have his contact information. He could have reached out to me directly after all of my calls and emails but he didn't. They did not try anything to make things better or even try to offer refunding any money, I paid for a job to be done and it wasn't. Oh they are also NOT accredited by the Better Business Bureau because i reported them there as well! Below is the screenshot that they indeed are not!

Edit: We called out another plumbing company. They actually took the time to properly diagnose the problem as a bad thermocouple. What a concept. We opted to replace the whole pilot assembly and the repair was $200 ($80 for the part and 1 hour of labor at $120). If Do It Right had any shame at all they'd refund the $129 they charged (for doing basically nothing!!!) without question, but we'll probably end up disputing the charge. My advice for those looking for a reputable plumbing company is to just look elsewhere. I don't usually do reviews, positive or negative, but I gotta say that I could not be less impressed by this company. My grandson and his roommate (we'll call him "A") were having problems keeping the pilot light lit on the water heater at the house they rent from us, so I told them to call a plumber and I'd deduct the charge from their already minimal rent being as we weren't available to deal with it ourselves. So A randomly calls these guys and they send a plumber out. Now A is supposedly told that there wouldn't be a call out charge but I don't know precisely what was said so, you know, whatever. Anyway, the guy Do It Right sent out re lit the pilot, called it good, and charged $129 for doing so! I'm told that troubleshooting otherwise consisted of looking into the combustion chamber (presumably through the pilot light inspection port and without disassembling anything, since it didn't look to me like the cover had been disturbed at all). Now, charging $129 to teach two relatively unworldly young men how to light a pilot light (even though the instructions for doing so are literally on a sticker affixed to the tank) wouldn't be so bad IF it had been the fix to keep the pilot lit and IF I didn't learn subsequently that Do It Right's standard call out fee is around $50. Then $129 starts to sound like a complete ripoff!!! So, like I previously said, lighting the pilot light was not the fix we were looking for and the next morning the pilot light was out again. And once again the morning after that. By the third day the pilot light wouldn't light at all and that's when I started to become a little indignant. A call into Do It Right to complain on a Saturday between Christmas and New Year found only the answering service available and, since it wasn't a complete emergency, I told them it would be OK for a callback on the first business day in the New Year (Tuesday the 2nd). To their credit (and probably the only positive interaction with this company) I got a callback from Do It Right first thing on Tuesday morning and they were able to find me a slot between 12 and 4pm for someone else to take a look at it. Except he never showed. And I got a call just after 4pm to let me know that not only would he not be coming but they weren't able to reschedule anything until Thursday the 4th. Obviously, I told them to forget it and that we'd find someone else. Oh, and let me also share that the only options offered beyond the $129 fee for lighting the pilot light were complete replacement of the tank with a standard 40 gallon tank for $3200 and a tankless unit for $7500. So you're telling me that aside from the fact that this clown was unwilling to troubleshoot for any other options to keep this tank going, he expected us to pay more than $2k in labor for a tank that probably has a trade price in the $600-900 range. Not on your F'ing life!

Damien did an excellent job in assessing the situation and ensuring it was taken care of properly. This is the second time we contacted Do it Right Plumbers for an emergency situation and once again, they were quick to respond. The office staff is great as well! Crystal does an excellent job communicating and helping us through the process. They use a tiered pricing system to help manage costs. Honest company with a great team. Thanks everyone at Do it Right Plumbers!

I hired them to clear a slow draining kitchen sink the technician came out and talked my wife into doing a Hydro cleaning throughout the house the next day we use the washer in the garage and the water backed up and overflowed out of our secondary bathroom shower causing damage to all of our laminate flooring throughout the house. They contacted their insurance company that denied the claim stating we had an existing issue. If the Hydro cleaning would have been done correctly there would not have been an issue and they walked away from the project and charge me $1,800 to do the Hydro cleaning and the next day they fired the technician that did the work. I lost about $8,000 worth of laminate flooring throughout my hallway, bathroom, front entranceway, kitchen and dining area. Video camera showed some roots in the line and that is what they base their existing condition but if Hydro cleaning would have been done correctly the roots would have also been cleared out along with all the debris that clogged the drain.

Incredible. Chris, our technician provided one of the best service experiences in our lives. He was friendly, articulate, and knowledgeable. He listened to my needs, investigated thoroughly the problem, and provided me with the appropriate options. An unforeseen problem showed itself and Chris handled it like a golden glove shortstop turning an infield single into a triple play. I am recommending him to my neighbors. Do It Right Plumbers really did it right thanks to Chris.

Great. They called me within seconds after I requested a quote. We set up an appointment and they arrived on time. Everything was done in about an hour. Darryl and company arrived and were already aware of the issues. I let them in to take a look, they presented me an estimate for all three jobs, and they proceeded with the job. All issues are fixed and I was shown what the problem was, as well as how to maintain things running smooth. I recommend these guys and look forward to calling them back in the future.

If I could give more stars I would! This is by far the most professional, experienced and impressive plumbing company I have ever met and worked with in Orange County. I am assisting my elderly mother with her home renovations, and we have been through some pretty traumatizing experiences with other companies. In December 2018 her entire plumbing system went down. After 5 MONTHS of searching and shelling out money and time to other companies who could not meet our needs I checked Home Advisor and found Do It Right Plumbers. Do it Right owner Edan, Foreman Brian, Office Manager Amanda, staff Nick, Pete and contractors Best Boring & Bursting, ProFitt- Rudy, sons and John have been kind, respectful, prompt, clean, tidy and absolutely phenomenal on every level possible. Their expert background and authentic care for our situation had the show on the road quickly. DIRP was VERY accommodating and patient with negotiations and went the extra mile to make sure my Mom was happy with the contract agreement and scope of work. They had permits pulled asap, utility companies out to check the property, high tech plumbing masters on the scene to find the best possible durable high performance results. They even offered a fully paid hotel or deluxe porta-potty during the construction time. I have not had to do a thing! All has come together seamlessly. And, they have been extremely kind, caring and compassionate in working with my elderly mother and the overall project. They completed the entire massive project in about two weeks...way under the original estimated 6-8 week time frame. From beginning to end everything has been on point, thorough and properly executed. My moms home gets a new state-of-the-art plumbing system with a 50 year warranty and we have an amazing team of experts that are there to support with any future maintenance (not anticipated to have any issues though) Solid quality work and truly nice, good people with good hearts here. We cannot thank Do It Right Plumbers, Best Boring & Bursting, ProFitt enough, you all have saved the day! THANK YOU for helping us! ! (UPDATE 5/2020) More things to love about Do It Right Plumbers! Project completion update! After a year we were finally able to get our floors tiled and ready for the final phase of our plumbing project. I called DIRP to get referrals for tilers. Don not only gave great referrals for tiling but also offered to help my Mom and I out if there was anything their company could do to help during the lockdown. Picking up groceries, prescriptions, toilet paper even! Incredible! It's not every day a business reaches out and cares at this level. We were given a referral for OC HandyCrew to install tiling and they did phenomenal work, highly recommend! Once the tile was set DIRP immediately sent Chris and a fantastic pro crew who installed our toilets. They also suggested an ADA toilet for my Mom, which I never would have thought of and Edan gave a great price, very grateful. Everyone was wearing masks and all compliant with the new health and safety guidelines. Perfect score for DIRP from beginning to project end. Edan and his company are striving to do and doing all the right things to create a trusting, impeccable high quality service for Orange County with proper ethics, professionalism and integrity. We are forever grateful and extremely happy to have selected DIRP and will always be their customer! Thank you!

Do It Right Plumbing was very professional in all aspects of the project. Not only did his supervisor, Don, keep me informed as to when the technician would be finishing his previous job and arriving at my job site, the technician, Jose, did a great job. He completed the water heater replacement installation within the estimated time frame, he explained everything that would be done as part of the price and installation process, and cleaned up and removed the old water heater and parts. I would certainly use this company again for all of my plumbing needs.

I am very sad to give this review. I was prepared to write an excellent review and even send a note on our local NextDoor App regarding the (initial) service and response I received. I found the company online as I was looking up reviews of other companies who performed service in the area. I called to set an appointment and the customer service rep said they would give a price after they came out. I declined because I didn't want to put off the service but didn't want to get an extremely high price when they came out and it be too late to contact another plumber. Before I could look up a number for a different company, I received a call back from a manager at the company to see if they could provide service and he was able to quote me a price for the service. Since they were so overwhelmingly responsive I decided to set an appointment for later that afternoon. I received a call and a text notifying me that the service technician was on his way. He arrived on time and looking to provide excellent service. He and his partner were very kind and very attentive to my requirements and provided a great deal of information about my job. He completed the job and I was able to pay the exact price quoted by the initial gentleman who called me back to set an appointment. I even made arrangements to meet with the technician later this week to explore other avenues to permanently rectify the issue with my main drain -- basically roots penetrate the seams of the drain, which is made out of clay pipe; so, servicing the drain to clear the roots from the pipes is a regular requirement. BUT THEN THE NIGHTMARE ENSUED! I left home right after the service was completed to pick up a child from school. Until that time, no one was home besides myself so no one used the toilets after the service was rendered. I returned within an hour after leaving to find that my toilet was completely backed up. After someone used the toilet and flushed, it overflowed, flooding the bathroom floor. No problem I thought. A part of the blockage must have gotten trapped in the pipe backing things up. The only issue was that, now, the toilet did not flush and water would started coming up through the tub drain if I tried to plunge and flush the toilet. So, I called the company back to see if they would send someone out to remedy the issue. I figured it was just a minor inconvenience with a very simple remedy. When I called, apparently, I reached the after hours "answering service" or so I was told. The lady, who took my call first and, later, the gentleman, who came on the line to deal with my request to get service, suggested that ALL OF THE COMPANY'S TECHNICIANS WERE BOOKED FOR THE EVENING; THEREFORE, THEY COULD NOT ADDRESS MY ISSUE UNTIL THE NEXT DAY!!!!! REALLY? You can't be serious. Remember, I could flush my toilet and use the shower earlier in the morning. I called to get service I get EVERY year in order to prevent a complete back up. Now, after getting service, I cannot use the toilet NOR the shower!!! I have two kids, it is 8 PM, and I was told, "Sorry, but the best they can do is schedule someone to come out SOMETIME TOMORROW!!!" After much protesting and refusing to accept that solution, the gentleman who came on the line second said he would try to get a message out to the company to see if he can get a response but he couldn't make any promises. As a business owner myself, I cannot believe that a company that has nearly a 5 star rating for customer service, and who deals in an area that could meet with emergency issues such as this, has an arrangement with their scheduling/customer service that DOES NOT ALLOW them to contact a service manager regarding an EMERGENCY. The BEST they could do is tell me that they will send a message to the company and see if someone will get it. I am completely nuts about that. I don't understand such a policy. I do not know whether this is the fault of the plumbing company for setting up a process that is so bad they have absolutely NO WAY TO DEAL WITH CRITICAL SITUATIONS that may arise unexpectedly, OR, whether the people working at the scheduling service refused to think outside the box and take action to remedy a bad customer situation that was likely caused by service performed by the company a few hours earlier, OR BOTH -- the company has an answering/scheduling service that deserves worse than a failing grade AND the company deserves a failing grade because they have no way to deal with emergencies. In the end, I don't know what to say. Obviously, some of this review is a rant b/c I am in the middle of the issue and I still have no solution for a plugged up toilet and drain. I need to cook, have to deal with two kids getting ready for school the next day, and I have not heard a peep from the company, now an hour after calling the "answering service" about my critical issue that arose likely as a direct result of the service I received a few hours earlier. So, if you can get service provided by this company in the early morning and you are SURE nothing can go wrong after hours, then by all means, use this company. The people during the day and the people who came to my home were VERY friendly and attentive and detailed. However, if there is even the slightest chance that you could run into an issue after hours, I'll leave it to you to decide. The service technicians were very nice and very helpful. Honestly, I really think the company meant to do the best job. However, I got caught in a terrible situation that was completely unexpected. Sadly, the company is unable to respond, AT ALL, and I have no way to rectify the issue beyond having my husband snake the drain at around 10 or 11 PM, after he gets home from work OR by calling a different company to remedy the issue NOW only a few hours after my initial service appointment with this plumber. The high marks I would have given based on my initial treatment were completely shot because they have absolutely no way to respond to my critical issue that arose only a few hours later and just a few minutes after they closed for the day. WOW! Now I know. My first question will be to ask whether the plumbing company has emergency response service available.

Walt was very personable and offered good advice on items such as replacement faucets, etc. the other plumbers would have wanted $400.00 but Walt suggested that I just purchase new faucets as the old ones would be just pouring money down the drain haha. I liked the fact that he was looking out for my interests and not how much money was in it for him or for his employer. Metzger's plumbing was all about money and nothing else. I am so glad I waited for Do It Right.
