After getting quotes from four companies to replace my HVAC system, I decided to go with Connected. They were the second best price, but I felt comfortable with them and felt like their salesperson was honest and direct. They showed up early on the date of the installation with about 10 guys, and the whole thing took less than half a day. They pulled the permits and arranged for the private industry inspector to come out the same day as the install. They were easy to work with and conscientious. So far, so good as far as the AC functioning itself. It's definitely a much quieter unit than my old one. Time will tell if it save money on energy, too.

The A/C recharge was completed. The price they charged me was almost double what I paid the year before. When I complained on Yelp, they promised a refund but then did nothing. Would not hire them again.

This review is based on 2 service call experiences, the first one on June 2016 and the second one on May 2017. On the 2016 service call, Jerry came out to diagnose and fix my A/C problem. He replaced the condenser unit run start capacitor, added 3.5 lbs of R410a refrigerant and an A/C sealer. The total cost was $375 ($150 for capacitor, $105 for refrigerant at $30 per lb, and $125 for the sealer). I thought the price was fair and I was happy with the service. In my mind, this was deserving of an A rating. On the 2017 service call in May, Jerry was again the technician tending to my A/C issue. Knowing that I had a significant leak, I asked Jerry to simply recharge the system so I can use it temporarily while I research for a new system replacement. Based on last year's prices, I thought the cost would be around $250-300 for refrigerant recharge and sealer. I was shocked when Jerry gave me the bill for $475! He said it's because this time he added 6 lbs (compared to 3.5 lbs last time) and the cost of refrigerant has gone up significantly. I did a quick calculation and found that he had charged me at almost double the price for refrigerant compared to last year (around $60 per lb). Afterward, I called a couple of HVAC companies in south OC and they were quoting $30 per lb, which made me very angry. I'm giving Connected Heating an F rating on this service call. Overall, I give them a C rating based on averaging the ratings for the 2 service calls.

Duane from connected heating was great. He came out the same day I called in order to fix a problem with my furnace that had been noted by the inspector. He was able to repair the problem within minutes, allowing me to address the buyers concern for the condo. He also provided a quote for the replacement of the furnace, which was the cheapest price of all the contractors that I called. I provided the quote to the buyers as part of the sale. I hope they gave him the business.

We purchased our home a year ago, it was remodeled by "fippers". Worst contractors ever! There was no attention to detail at all. One of the issues we had was our air conditioning and heating units. The condensing lines for our air conditioner were hanging from metal wires from the garage ceiling. The "flippers" placed the air conditioner unit right in front of our electrical panels. So we had to climb over the air conditioning unit just to get to the electrical panel. The heating unit had major dents all over it. It was blowing more heat into the garage than into the house. So we decided to call Connected and have them replace both units. Connected arrived on time. They were very well organized, and it seems everyone on the team knew exactly what to do. It took them about 4 hours to complete the entire tasks. Duane is very particular about his work. He is careful, detail oriented, and he takes really good care of the work he done, as if he is working on his own home. They cleaned up and took everything with them.
