When they arrived, promptly and on time, they determined that the water heater was not leaking and that I had a pipe leak, most likely a slab leak. After the first technician was having trouble locating the leak a second supervisor showed up. They worked several hours, about 6 to be exact, trying to find it but didn't really have the necessary leak detection equipment to find it. At the conclusion, they charged me $400.00 for leak detection for a leak they could not detect. They also recommended a plumbing repipe and presented an estimate of $22,000 or so. I paid the $400 and then followed up with customer service. After a day or two of discussions, they agreed to refund $300.00 of the $400.00 which seemed agreeable to me as they did spend 6 hours attempting to find the leak even though they couldn't.

I watched the service technician while he worked. It took a little over 15 minutes to replace the Thermocouple. Was hardly worth $330. They gave a 10% senior discount but even at $300 it was too much. The other frustrating thing is this company had installed the Water Heater control unit and Thermocouple less than 4 years ago. I called them since they installed it previously and thought they would go ahead and replace the Thermocouple for a reasonable price but after this I will never use this company again.

I called another company but they must subcontract with Rescue Rooter. It was Halloween and a weekend; I knew this would probably cost me an arm and a leg but I had to fix the pipes so that I wouldn't hold-off the progress on the kitchen cabinets (little did I know the carpenter would totally blow me off and show up whenever he felt like it). Oscar came and he was very polite, professional, clean and answered all my questions. He arrived in a neat uniform and then put on a coverall to go under my house. He worked for about 3 or 4 hours and all I did was plug the extension cord. I mentioned that I was worried I had a leak on the water main or the sewer line so he went through the trouble of dragging himself under the crawl space to check on the pipes on the other side of the house. I was very happy with the service so the only reason I give them a B is because it was almost $1200! For 4 hours, too much money.

They were fine. They did a good job. It took them about three to four hours to finish the service. Everything was fine.

The entire project ended up being expensive but it was one of those understandable situations when the discovery of one thing led to another and I was aware that an entire replacement was in my immediate future anyway. They were very up-front with the changes and excellent with permits and working with the city inspectors.

when they came I told them what the problem was . my kitchen sink wasn't draining very good. so they snake it and than told me that at 15 feet they came to a hold in my sewage pipe and that in order to fix the problem they would need too use the camera to see were the hold is. than they come back and said they couldn't fine the hold because there was water in the line and it was too murky too see any thing . but for 9,000.00 they can come in rip up my kitchen, because they are pretty sure that its some where between my kitchen sink and the bathroom. than he called his boss who than came with 2other guys and use some hand held device (which look like a metal detector) and move it around the kitchen sink area and said they still are not sure. then about 5 min later the boss tell us that it will cost 12.500.00to fix the problem with this they would rip out my stone flooring my oak cabinets and granted counters. I was floored, I just couldn't get my head around this. than he tells us and he will give us a break and knock it down too 10.000.00 and they have left over material from an apt job they did last week and that it would knock the price down a little bit more. but we would need too let them know by the next day because somebody else mite use it for another job .And to top it all off the never unclog the drain .Then I called roto rooter , they came out and unclog my drain .Hopefully that the end of it. I will never call rescue rootor again or refer them to anyone. How in the world did they get on angies list. now am not sure I can trust anybody on this list..

They responded very fast and cleared the sewer line which I was very happy about and I think it would have been worth a good $150 to me but not $366 less 10% $330. I have lived here 36yrs never happened before but I have my grandson and 2 great grandchildren for 2 days so I don't think it was toilet paper stopping my sewer line. If it happens again I can rent a snake for about $25 and do it in 20min myself, word to the wise. I told my repair man I think it was a little too expensive and he said most of the companies would charge the same price.

First they responded to an emergency situation on a Sunday and served that to our total satisfaction They were friendly, responsive and efficient. As we agreed they proposed a permanent solution, quoted that promptly on Monday and again performed the service professionally.
They were excellent in keeping us informed several thousand miles away and their office, service and management personnel all were pleasant and co-operative

Kitchen drain clearing went fine. He claimed he cleared the bath drain but because the pipes were so old he could not guaranty work. Tenant claims the clog was actually worse after his visit. I later called another rooter co. and they were able to clear the drain completely, and for less money.

At first, the laundry line remained congested and the technician came back on his lunch hour later in the day to re-snake that line. Great service! I have used this firm solely for over a decade because of their work.

The job was finished in about 1/2 hour. The technician was very professional and did an excellent job.
We've used this comany many times in the past for the same problem - drain cleaning. They used to charge about $110. They now have new owners, and we were charged $265 last week for the same service. The technician was very apologetic about the cost. I'm presently looking around for another company that has as good service as Rescue Rooter, but charges much less for this type of job.
