Awful project management team. 10 days of work prolonged over 2.5 months. When they got their last check, when asked the replaced PM turned around and said they won't fix the light fixture area that got chipped during removal of plaster, which was initially discussed with their sales rep, Matt, and initally assigned PM to the project, John Palmieri. I called my bank, put a stop payment on the check, and I am a "sir" again. Should they have any issues with my comments, there is evidence of text messages to back it up. Awful communication, scheduling, and implementation. I had to call into the office and get into a verbal disagreement with the head of the management team, Ken, to talk about the project schedule. They literally then showed up to finish the job in 2 days. That shows the level of care and management they are capable of providing. I wouldn't hire these PMs to watch paint dry, let alone a title named, project management. The only star they get from me: 1. Actual workers who did the job. Professionals. 2. Post project support team. You would save cost, time, and find professionalism elsewhere with another company. Don't fall for the name and the fluff.

Our pool resurfacing with new tile went very well starting with the helpful sales person and going all the way to the completed project. The communications was great the whole time and my questions were always promptly answered. The quality of the work was excellent and the project manager came frequently. They were protective of my plants and such and always left it clean. Our pool looks so much better!

Great communication throughout the process. Helped with remodel design elements that improved function and appearance. When problems or issues arose during the project, they were quickly resolved. Project completed on time. Highly recommend Alan Smith Pools!!

Rarely am I moved enough to write a review about my personal experience with a companyâ ¦.. this is the exception and for compelling reasons. Over eight years ago, my husband and I hired Allen Smith Pools to resurface our pool and spa, install new water line and other tiles and additional miscellaneous work to completely rehab our then 18 year old pool. Their finish is warranted for 10 years. Recently, our spa developed a rather significant leak which was determined to be coming through a crack in the pebble aggregate finish installed 8 years ago. ASPs came out and epoxy patched the leak which successfully ended the water loss but was cosmetically unacceptable and which did not determine the cause of the crack. This past week, large crews, trucks, equipment and materials showed up at our home for many successive days and nearly the entire spa was demolished and rebuilt, including rebar tied in, plumbing fixed, new pebble finish (perfect match to 8 year old pool). During that process, it was determined that the crack was caused by sub-standard ORIGINAL construction practices. DESPITE THE CAUSE OF THE LEAK BEING DUE TO ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION DEFICIENCIES, 18 YEARS before ASPs stepped foot on our property and by a different contractor, ASPs stood behind their warranty and fixed EVERYTHING, including, at no cost to us, replacing upwards of 30 tiles which were cracked and which had nothing to do with the spa finish crack. Rick Specht and Dario and Darren all worked together to solve this problem and ensure the warranty was honored. How often in todayâ s world of â bottom lineâ business does a company just do the right thing and then go above and beyond to boot? If any homeowner needs ANY pool or spa work done, cash a winning ticket and contact Alan Smith Pools. Iâ m still pinching myself.

Had my 34 year old pool resurfaced, process was fully explained & anytime I had questions, Ray, the crew supervisor, would take the time to answer. Also received daily notifications by email informing me what crew would be on location & the tasks for the day. Very clean & respectful of our property.

They were very professional, prompt, did what they said they would, kept schedule, and their equipment was top notch.

They are very organized, and do what they say. They work very clean. I chose them based on reputation, and they certainly lived up to it.

I feel I got a good bang for my buck. They were able to save pool and spa tile. I am the ultimate do it yourself kind of guy and this was definitely a job I could not tackle on my own. I recommend watching the crews the day they plaster they pool. They work in unison and are true artisans. Carlos, the foreman, has been working there for over 20 years and made sure the job was done professionally.

Before choosing a company, I researched different businesses and spoke with friend about their pool remodels. After receiving bids and seeing an A rating on Angie's List, I decided to use Alan Smith Pools. They were patient and responsive to changes that I made during the remodel. I received daily email updates and calls to inform me of progress and next steps throughout. The office staff and project managers responded quickly and pleasantly in communications. It was exciting to see the progress. I totally love my pool-thank you, Alan Smith Pools!

Everyone that came from this company were nice to work with, timely, and very thorough and courteous. Any questions I had, they were more than willing to answer, and always very pleasant.

I called them the other day to give me a hand and they showed up the same day to make arrangements to do the job. I have recommended their services to a friend of mine already. They are really good people. The best that is worth to mention is that they use a new water recycling program.
