"There was a couple discrepancies in the original estimate/change order. There were some items that didn’t get done, but there were also some items that we completed that the (member name removed) were never charged for. My manager put a new estimate together for them deleting the items that didn’t get completed but included new charges of items that did get done. He sent it to the Jenkins and they never acknowledged it. I have provided email proof and attachment for the new estimate that was sent over to them."
"This was an insurance claim job. What that means is that [member name removed] insurance company issued a check to [member name removed] for the exact amount we agreed to do the work for after going back and forth with [member name removed] insurance company on what they would and would not pay for. [member name removed] is asking for money from the amount that was agreed upon and paid by his insurance company. The check that was issued to [member name removed], was our negotiated cost minus his $1,000.00 deductible. [member name removed] did not want to pay his deductible either, so that amount was never collected from him. [member name removed] was well taken care of and it was explained to him that we do not offer discounts on jobs that are negotiated by and paid for by a third party. [member name removed] time frame is inaccurate. The first contract was signed 7/22/13 for the drying process. The next part was the reconstruction, and that contract was signed on 8/9/13 and completed on 9/9/13. [member name removed] was provided with copied of the contracts when he signed them. The process of an insurance claim takes time. We had to remove the damaged materials, dry the materials that were left, put it all back together up to [member name removed] standards, and work with [member name removed] insurance company to negotiate scope and costs. [member name removed] was given a schedule in the beginning of the job, and that schedule was kept. It is unfortunate that [member name removed] tenants did not have renters insurance and had to stay in the house during [member name removed] loss, but we did not create the leak. We were the people that cleaned it all up and put his house back together."
