Brooks Chimney Sweeping
About us
A CSIA, FIRE & NFI certified technician will arrive in a clearly identifiable vehicle and uniform. The technician will then proceed with the requested Level of inspection. We assure proper precautions have been taken to protect your valuable possessions, showing the respect of your furnishings. We pride ourselves on the care we take to insure there is no mess or damage to your property. During the time the sweeping service is underway, you can be assured that we utilize the latest technology and dust collecting equipment with modern filtration to insure that no dust enters your home. Once the chimney has been properly swept, we proceed into the desired level of inspection phase of your service. We check all visible portions of the chimney and any appliances connected to it. Our more detailed levels include an interior inspection of the flue via the use of an internal digital scanning system. This digital scanning system provides a visual of the interior of the chimney. During all phases of the inspection process, the technician also digitally records the various areas of the chimney. Your technician will be glad to explain the findings with you. Upon completion of the chimney sweeping and inspection, the technician will discuss the findings with you. We will follow this up with a detailed report that will include not only A description of any concerns noted, but also recommendations of ways to resolve these issues. This report will also include digital photos that will serve as further explanation of any noted areas or recommendations. Your complete record of service, along with your photo documentation is stored in our computer network for quick recall in order to serve you in the future as well as allow us to answer any further questions that may arise. Please know that our client database is kept confidential and your information will never be shared or released outside of our company without your prior approval.

When I came back and she explained this to me, I went out to his truck where he was putting in the information for his next call. I told him that I thought I was paying for a cleaning and inspection and this was neither. I asked him to give me something in writing that said when we were done with the remodel he would return and actually do the job we paid him for. Instead he simply returned the check and we ended the transaction there.
The positive was, when confronted he actually returned the fee for the service. The negative was that he would collect a fee for the 'service' he provided. 95% of his time was spent trying to sell us on a gas insert. He made NO EFFORT to clean anything. This is not my idea of a responsible contractor.
I would not use this contractor again.
I wouldn't use anyone else.
