VALDIVIA JEWELRY REPAIR WHILE

Brought my wedding ring in to have 1 small diamond replaced (it had somehow fallen out & gotten lost) and to have all the tips replaced so I wouldn't lose anymore stones.  He basically RUINED my wedding ring!!!  I can't even describe what he did to it but it is ruined.  Plus the diamond he put in is very inferior quality compared to the other diamonds (which he said he could match) - the original diamonds look white and the replacement diamond looks dirty gray.  I still had to pay the $$$ just to get my ring back - after arguing & arguing with him over what he had done to it.  I finally gave up as I could see it was just going to get worse, not better.   So far I have received 2 quotes from other REPUTABLE jewelers (this time I did my homework) to repair all the damage done at Valdivia - 1 quote was for $424 and the other was for $555!  Both other jewelers advised me that it was not safe to wear the ring until it is repaired as the whole thing could finish falling apart at any moment.  They both said the center stone (which belonged to my grandmother & is thus very precious to me) is so unstable the stone and mounting could fall out any time and be lost.  There were no prior reviews of this jeweler on Angie's List when I checked beforehand.  I thought I had checked Yelp too, but obviously not as when I checked Yelp afterwards I saw there were MANY negative Yelp reviews - many with stories similar to mine.
Note:  afterwards I successfully challenged the credit card charge.
