This contractor dumped paint on the back lawn and killed it, and it is now $7100 to replace. Once he met with us, he was told to tell his employees never to dump paint on the lawn again or rinse his brushes there. He promised to supervise daily and did not. Following our meeting, his employee dug a large hole in our yard behind the garage and dumped paint into that hole when he thought we would not notice. In addition, he was given a granite name and number to install on the new bathroom vanity, and he installed the wrong piece, saying only that the piece we chose was too dark. We have the emails, photos, and personal meetings to verify all of this, as well as the granite sample he should have installed. He also installed a shower door that was not the one we ordered in writing to be purchased from a particular store, and he installed it wrong. His employees painted water base and semi gloss over oil-based paint in the bathroom, and this paint is now peeling off the walls. In addition, his employees painted another area and simply painted around things that were on the wall instead of removing them to paint the whole area. This horrific list of shoddy and substandard work (to say nothing of the illegal paint dumping killing the lawn) could go on, but it is enough to get the point across. Claims are filed with all appropriate agencies.
