Excellent experience overall.  Mike brought another person and extra equipment to help him with both jobs, which required crawling up into our attic (for the ceiling fan), assembling a scaffolding (to reach the ceiling over our bed), and climbing nearly to our 2-story roof line to install new flood lights.  We were absolutely thrilled with the results.  Mike knows what he is doing.  He made sure that both the ceiling fan and the flood lights were working as they were supposed to before he left.  Both look and work great.   We will definitely call Mike and Shamrock Electric in the future.

he charged me $75 an hour rather than giving me a price for the job.  that was a bad agreement on my part because it left the door open to stretching hours.  in fact, he charged me for hours he wasn't here.  I know because I was.  the security lights blew out.  when I replaced the bulbs, I was told by a different electrician that it wasn't because the lights had burned out (the bulbs had blown up, so to speak), that there was a problem with the lamps.  it was either installation or the lamps themselves, so I'm not sure it's mike clancy's fault, but they've never worked properly and the money was wasted.

by the way, I got his name from a booklet called "done right".  that also was a bust.  they promised a refund of $25 if you spent over $250 on one business, but they never followed through.  I never received the refund.  it was a hoax.  

Was charged $150 for service call.

He did excellent work and I liked the fact that he was the only person who came out to do the work. He was very careful and specific while completing the job. I was amazed how just one person did all the work so fast.
