I had him come out to do some work and he wouldn’t give an estimate because he said that it was going to be easy. So I left him at the house to do the work and on my way home I called him to find out how much I would owe him for the work. He said a couple hundred for the parts and then a couple hundred for the labor and said he only takes cash under the table I got there and less than half of the work was done and he wanted $586. He took off with my faucet that he didn’t put in. He got my money and he has the receipts except for one from Lowe’s. I told him I wanted the faucet back but he said I would owe him another $86 for it even though he didn’t finish the work. He works for $50 cash per hour, so he doesn’t pay the IRS either. I really think he’s just a painter (which his painting was good) because he doesn’t know much about electrical or plumbing work. He just wasn’t honest with my about the time frame and the cost, it just wasn’t ethical.
