We called Marvin M. Boyle Plumbing because 1) the connection between a 4-zone solenoid-valve irrigation manifold and our household supply line had sprung a leak, and 2) it had recently become unusually humid in our house. Marvin rebuilt the manifold (with new valves that we supplied) and corrected its original (poorly designed) connection to our household supply line. Then he inspected our house's crawl space. Noting an uncapped (!) cleanout, Marvin determined that a blockage downstream was causing wastewater to back up and spill out under the house. The uncapped cleanout was not accessible for his motorized drum auger, and the blockage proved to be beyond the auger's reach from our house's primary cleanout. So Marvin installed an accessible secondary cleanout, through which a water jet was ultimately threaded to clear a mass of roots blocking the lateral line near the street. This was the second time we had called in Marvin, whom we recommend without reservation -- he is highly skilled and very conscientious.
