They subcontracted out the installation but there was a lot communication and follow-up from Lowe’s. The contact person was very good and she had the order set aside. When we got to the store, they didn’t realize that the order was in the back room so they scrambled to put it together. I had to wait for about an hour.

Garage Door Service
We had a horrible experience. Lowe's subcontracted the garage door install to a sub-contractor. It took two weeks to schedule. When the subcontractor finally came, they said the garage door needed a stronger spring and a strut, which would cost an additional $100 each. Our home builder had assured us that the garage door was garage door opener ready. We called another company to confirm and they said the spring just needed an adjustment and a strut, although unnecessary because it was a one car garage, would cost $20 for the part and installation. They installed the opener for the same price Lowe's was going to charge. We complained to Lowe's and they could care less. We got our money back after spending 45 minutes in line. We will definitely not be using Lowe's for any other contracting work.

Installer was on time, polite and cleaned up after himself. However, he told me that installing new supply lines and valves would be an extra $65 per toilet. When I protested, he called his boss, and the charge was reduced to $65 for both. After he left, I discovered that one of the toilet seats had a broken bolt cap, something the installer had to have seen. At this point, I returned to the store and a very nice manager gave me a new toilet seat and refunded my $65, saying that installation included the supply line and valve. The next day, we discovered a rusty leak on the other toilet's supply line. The plumber we hired to fix that problem said the installer had put the new valve on the old rusty nut. The threads didn't match, and therefore, we got a leak.
