We met with Ben who had a lot of good ideas. Ben made some sketches and emailed us a bid in a very reasonable time unlike some of the other landscapers. Once we committed, Ben met us at a rock company in Encinitas to pick out some of the large rocks, etc. By the way, from beginning to end, there was absolutely no money required by Ben until the job was complete. As promised, Ben dropped off some of the material on Friday and his crew was there at 6:30am on Saturday morning. We really like the plants that Ben picked out, but he also gave us the opportunity to choose some of our own. They finished Saturday afternoon and the front yard looks professionally landscaped. Several of our neighbors have stopped and complimented how good it looks. The price was very reasonable. We look forward to hiring Ben to landscape our backyard in the spring.

We were referred to Ben by a landscape designer we spoke with at a local nursery. He is a licensed landscape contractor with his own crew. He works right alongside his crew during the entire project, and their mutual respect and cooperation is evident.
Ben and his crew removed all our old front yard landscaping, saving plants to our driveway that could be reused. He brought in soil mounding it and designing the space as he worked. He also brought in several beautiful, large boulders for decorative design in the front yard. He installed irrigation system. The designer from the nursery, and we, selected the plants and the designer set them around the yard along with our own plants that were to be replanted. Ben and his crew carefully planted all the plants and then finished with fertilizer and mulch. We have not lost even one plant after 10 months!
Ben did such a great job on our front yard that we contacted him a few months later to demo our back yard and add soil mounds, etc. He arrived as scheduled and did the entire job of removing all of our back yard plants and over growth by himself. He saved the plants we wanted to keep, and as with the front yard, he loaded and hauled away the rest. He fertilized and mulched.
Working with Ben was a pleasure. He is very accommodating and personable. He clearly aims to please. He is responsive, returning messages or e-mails to him the same day. He has even responded to questions since then regarding plant care. His charges are very reasonable.

Ben previously re-landscaped our front yard so when we needed a new post for the 4 mailboxes on our property, we called to see if he could do it. He had us e-mail him a picture of the current stand and then gave us an estimate of the cost. The day he arrived to install it we were absolutely stunned at what a beautiful job he had done re-creating the post we had with all the detail of the original stand that went in 26 years ago when the homes were built. He used pressure treated redwood so it would last, primed it, as we said we would paint it. Then he returned a few days later to install the mailboxes after we painted the post and the mail order mailboxes arrived.
Ben is gregarious, professional, easy to work with, and very knowledgable about all types of landscape and fence needs.

He did a beautiful job with my lawn. He is professional, honest and he did outstanding work.
