He offers a "drop-off" service at a local dry cleaners. I was uncomfortable dropping my machine off somewhere that would not provide me a receipt. In the spirit of supporting small business, I went to his base of operations on Temple Heights in Oceanside. But he was out and I ended up leaving my machine next door at an upholstery shop. A woman there said yes, sometimes people do drop off their machines at her shop, they have an arrangment with Frank. But they don't provide a receipt. I also found that Frank is not very good about returning calls. It took two weeks to complete the repair. I was starting to think I would never see the machine again. He did do a great job and the machine worked perfectly, except that the light bulb was missing??? I have no idea what that was about. When I picked up the machine I was able to see his shop, very clean and well organized. I am not sure why my experience did not reflect that.
