We were very pleased with Fence Smith. Communication was great and the workmanship was excellent. The work site was properly cleaned up each day and the installation process went very quickly. We did have an issue due to a miscommunication (likely on our part), but Mike accommodated us. He undid work he had completed and re-did the installation according to changes we wanted. Not only that, he did not charge us any additional labor, just the difference in the cost of materials. We are very happy with our fence and recommend FenceSmith.

The back fence was falling down. We requested options for replacement. We now have metal posts in the ground so the bugs won't eat the posts (neighbor's trees are a problem). Bottom and top rails are redwood, to help prevent bug damage. Rest of the fence is pine and it LOOKS BEAUTIFUL! We are very pleased.
This the 2nd time we've used them and if we ever need a fence again, they are the only ones we will call!

We had an excellent experience with this small company. They were very prompt and professional in all their interactions with us.
They helped design the fence and we are very happy with how it looks. We had several estimates from other companies and they gave us the best price. Since they are small, it seems they keep their overhead low.
However, we chose them not solely on price, but because they were the most responsive and really seemed to be interested in our relatively small, non-standard job.

Fence Smith was selected by multiple residents to replace builder-installed wood fencing on several adjacent properties. We were preparing for an extensive remodel and could not fully participate in the project on our neighbors' timeline. Mike Smith was flexible and quoted our work in two phases, enabling us to join in the primary project for a portion of our fencing, while delaying completion until after the remodel was done. By the time we called him back for the second phase, the economic downturn had affected the market. Mike re-quoted the second phase of work and significantly reduced the cost. He was flexible throughout in working around our contractors' constantly changing schedule. And coordinating with several customers on one job required persistence and skillful communication.

Mike offered advice in design. Our job included pushing out the fence line to increase the yard area, which resulted in a grade change from the original fence layout. Months after the installation was complete, Mike returned to make small adjustments when a gate settled a bit and caused it to hang up when closing.

We were very happy with the quality of work, follow through, professionalism and integrity of service provided by Fence Smith.

From start to finish, the process was smooth. Mike Smith came out to prepare an estimate and his wife Rebecca coordinate scheduling and paperwork. Mike performs all of the work himself with the assistance of a long-term employee. He was very conciencous, was careful with our property and landscaping, did an amazing job of setting posts and andhad our gates working better than when new! I was reccomend Fence Smith to anyone looking for a competent, honest, talented fencing contractor.
