I recently hired JC Tree LLC in Brentwood, CA, to do a tree pruning service on a large Sycamore tree on our property near a public street. They had been recommended on Next Door by someone in our community and I selected them based solely on that recommendation. I am so glad I did! Marcos and Mauricio, the owners, came out the next day to provide a free estimate and schedule the work. Within two days, they managed to fit my job into their schedule and complete the work. Hector, Dan and Mauricio, who did the tree work, were professional and performed quality work with wonderful customer service. It was amazing how fast they were and how good the tree looked after Hector finished the pruning. Marcos and Mauricio were also wonderful to work with. Their customer service and professionalism put my tree pruning concerns at ease immediately and I knew I could trust them. I highly recommend this company if you need any tree service work. JC Tree (Dan) arrived ahead of schedule on a rainy Friday and cut down a monster Canary Island Palm tree, more than challenging as the spikes on each branch can cause severe injury.  Work was completed in a professional and timely manner, in spite of the light rain which fell continuously.  Upon conclusion of cut & removal activities, Dan thoroughly cleaned the site and departed for the day.

Part 2 of this project (Saturday afternoon) included stump grinding.  Again, JC Tree (Joe, this time) arrived ahead of schedule and quickly proceeded to cut the HUGE stump (2 ft in diameter) flush to the ground with a chain saw, before completely removing the stump with a heavy duty grinder.  Joe completed the job within 2 hrs (again during a light rain) and even helped to trench the ground for subsequent homeowner repair of irrigation line.  Overall, an excellent experience.

They showed up on time and proceeded with the work in a very professional manner.  After the trees were removed, the yard was cleaned up and raked to match the existing grade.  I would definitely hire them again.

A well orchestrated 4 man crew was on site.  Joe ran things like a pro.  The trimming was light years better than previous work/hack job done by a group I don't remember now.  Better than expected and the cleanup was thorough.  Will definitely call them again when needed.

They were on time, their work is excellent and price is fair. after they finished they did a total clean up. My husband and I are very much satisfied with their work. Highly recommend them to anyone who need a tree removed.

The work crew did everything safely, cleaned all branches out of our yard, swept and raked after they were done. It looked beautiful and all work was done in one day.

I just needed some branches removed to bring more sunlight into my back yard for a new rose garden.
They were punctual, polite, and did GREAT work. The owner, Joe, knew what I needed and just 'fixed it'They did no more or less than exactly what I needed. What a nice experience. They were very impressive, so I asked Joe to give me a bid on a bigger job, having some large trees removed. The bid is very fair and they will be returning soon to remove the trees.

We have a large property and big trees. They are good guys. They are fair, knowledgeable, and polite. They clean up after themselves.

At my home:

JC Tree owner, Joe came out prior to the service date and walked the yard to assess the work needed and the health of the trees. He prepared an estimate and discussed a schedule. He and his crew arrived on time and went right to work. He has a chipper and they clean up as they go. Some of the trees are adjacent to a swimming pool and they even used a skimmer to clean up the small amount of debris that fell in the pool!

The best accolade I can give Joe is that when he and his crew are finished, the trees are beautiful. I prefer a natural look and while the trees are shaped and trimmed to perfection and cross limbs have been removed, they don't look and quot;scalpedand quot; or even just cut! From the cherry tree to the flowering pears to the japanese maple and all the other trees, they just look great.
When they left, you couldn't even tell they had been there. No mess, Nothing left behind for me to dispose of.

At my office:

The office sits on about 20 acres with trees scattered throughout the property. Several trees are over 100 years old and we wanted to preserve them. Many had not been pruned for years. The first tree company we had come out (before I met Joe at JC Tree) absolutely butchered the trees. We lost 2 of them - they were pruned back too hard. A few years later our gardener suggested I call Joe after a windstorm severely damaged one of the oldest trees. He worked on the tree and explained how the prior pruning had removed not only too many branches, but also the wrong ones! He managed to save the tree but suggested we wait another year or so to allow the trees to recover completely from the prior pruning before having him work on them. He came back about a year later and did his magic on all the trees. The trees are beautiful now under Joe's careful and knowledgable hand.
