"Thank you for the review and appreciation, [Member name removed]. It was a pleasure working with you too."
"Apologies for the delay in responding. We were glad to be able to help. And Thank you for your review. I appreciate it."
"Thank you for your great review. I appreciate it. I'm sorry the price came in higher than expected. If you ever need more work, I would be happy to give you a more discounted labor rate."
"Thank you for your feedback though I have to admit I am confused by what you are saying. I pride myself on doing A+ work. I never do work that is Non-Code compliant whether or not people get permits for it right away. If I couldn't do that, I would stop doing this work altogether. I'm not trying to question your memory but perhaps you have me confused with someone else? I do give estimates for situations like you describe where the work is Non-Code compliant or hazardous wiring but I don't do work that is substandard or has to be redone later (unless some remodeling is going on). In addition, all of my workers are trained to do high quality work. I checked my records regarding my contact with you which was in 1999. I did a Troubleshoot and repair of a non-working dining room chandelier and found a bad switch which I replaced. And I checked but did not work on some low voltage wiring on the patio which connected to the low voltage lights and found one light fixture with a bad gasket which I recommended removing and replacing the lamp and the O-ring gasket. I do recall that your garage had a lot of exposed romex which is Non-Code compliant but I am not the one who did that wiring! I recommended removing and replacing with MC cable for Safety and Code. So, I really think that I am innocent of these charges. As I said, it is just not the way I work or do business."
"Thank you for your review. I appreciate it. It was good working with you too. Please call anytime."
"Thank you for your feedback, [Member Name]. I appreciate it. It's interesting to see your review arrives about 2 years since we last had contact. Be that as it may, I'd like to respond to your critique. I see that you are correct in that I never gave you a formal estimate. I apologize for this. However, in some cases, I give people a "ballpark" estimate verbally before I write a formal proposal to see if there is any interest. I may be wrong about this but, as I recall, I believe you said that you would not be able to do a job of this size at this time. As far as electricians who give lower estimates: there are many. I never claimed to be the cheapest but I do claim to have excellent A+ quality work and which I think my clients are getting a good value for their money. A 125 Amp Service change usually costs on average $5000 by itself with permits, the materials and the labor. So for someone to say they will do the whole project for that amount is interesting. Some people do work for less than we do and some people lowball and then nickel and dime the clients after they are into the job. I really can't speak for the other electricians. As far as the $25,000 quote, it may have been high but, since we generally work on a Time and Materials Basis, it may have come in lower, if the work happened without any serious problems. But thank you again for your review."
