Contacted Roberts Electric after another company failed to show up for an appointment and failed to answer phone calls.
Company picked up phone right away and had someone out to our house in under 30 minutes.  They got right to work and had the job done before I knew it.

I had an appointment set for between 1 and 3.   The technician did not show up and they did not call to tell us they would be late.   I called and they told us they could not contact the technician.  I called back and they told me that they would not be able to do the service for another hour.  They kept asking if I wanted to cancel the service.  It felt like they did not want to do the service in the first place and never should have scheduled the appointment.

"We are sorry your experience was not optimal, but we would disagree with the characterization of this event. Our intent is to live up to our commitments. We certainly want to be respectful of people's time. However, sometimes conflicts occur during the course of a service person's day, which lead to us being late to service calls later in the day or require us to reschedule. We would hope that a reasonable accomadation can be made, but understand if it is not possible. We would also hope that clients could be respectful when communicating with our office, even when they may be frustrated."

There were several problems that needed to be fixed and it took a while to find the problems, but eventually they succeeded in locating and fixing the wiring issues. The electrician who came out was friendly and professional as were the people I spoke with on the phone.

They charged me $600. They were absolutely outstanding. They did a great job pulling in the wires and installing them. They were neat and efficient. Their pricing has always been competitive.

They are great. We haven't used anyone else since we started using them. They are very good, reliable, helpful, and flexible in scheduling you around. They are pricey. We use a specific guy most of the time and he knows our house. He gives good service, explains thing and does good service. If you are unsatisfied they come out and do the wrok over at no charge.

It was excellent working with them. They were very responsive and their prices were reasonable. They had to do electrical work around my kitchen sink so instead of moving dishes off to the side, they washed them.

They were never really able to quite do it. It took numerous phone calls (lots) to get them there in the first place. He did make 2 visits and it just didn't work out.

We came to an agreeable time with the tenants, they showed up on time and they met their estimate. It was easy to get information from the various people I was talking with. The secretarial experience wasn't as good. We wanted to pay over the phone with a credit card and they said we'll call you back because they were really busy. We understand that you have to prioritize your calls but they never called us back. They seem average but it's really expensive in general.

The work was done well by Tom who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. My only complaint was that the company did not tell me ahead of time that they start to charge for their services when the worker left the office as opposed to when he arrived at my home. This made me cranky since I didn't know in advance.

Making appointment was easy, but was later confusing as the person scheduling had double booked an electrician. Finally got a three-hour window for time of service. Once electrician came by, the work was great and easy. I still needed some work and was told I would get an estimate by mail. It has been three weeks since that time and I have yet to receive an estimate!

Tom was on time, friendly, thorough, and explained everything to us. The new timer, it turned out, didn't work properly, and we had to call to have the replacement replaced! Tom had gone on vacation, unfortunately, and they offered to send another electrician, but also said they preferred to send the one who did the original job. We agreed, so we waited a week till Tom came back. He put in a new timer and as far as we can tell it works. I know the company will honor their work, if it's necessary to come back again, but we hope it won't be necessary. More good things: Tom or someone from the company phoned on the appointed day with updates on arrival time--when he couldn't get here in the time slot originally given. And they gave us a senior discount--10%.
