It was a great experience with great results, as it always is my experience with Ron and his construction company. He gave us the time schedule for the project, stuck to it, and did a great job. I just left my house open for him while I was at work, and felt my home was safer that way than if I locked it up since Ron was there to look after it. I trust him as a professional, and as a person. And now, we have a perfect deck that will last. Ron isn't the cheapest out there, but after I had jobs done by those cheaper contractors I came to the conclusion that cheap turns expensive in the long run: we had to hire Ron to fix other people's mistakes.

Mr. Lundgren was there personally almost every day. Everything was highly controlled and managed. Clean up and dust control was very good.The only delay was caused by a third party cabinet maker who had a crisis delaying the cabinets a bit. Otherwise all went on schedule with very high proficiency. I have used RT Construction in the past and would do so again.

We bought this house three years ago - has a great layout, but was very dated, with most finishes dating to the '70s. We reached out to Ron Lundgren (and his construction company, RT Construction) for a complete updating. We knew we could trust Ron, as he did a major addition and kitchen remodel on our previous home some years ago. The first project was to seismically brace the home - Ron referred us to an engineer to develop the plan, and then Ron personally did all the work needed. He also recommended various energy efficiency modifications, like significantly increasing insulation in the attic. Ron worked with us to remodel our kitchen so that it's much more functional, and beautifully updated with bamboo cabinets, quartz countertops, new plumbing, appliances, lighting and flooring. Based on his advice, we were able to reuse most of the cabinet boxes, add a few new cabinets, and install sliding drawers inside the deep cabinets to increase storage capacity. The house had ~600 square feet of dated floor tiles; Ron oversaw the removal of all the tile, and then laid out and installed the new tile, which dramatically updated the house. His electrician installed LED cans in most of the house, which substantially improved lighting with almost no hit to our electricity bills. He also did a number of other updates - updated the bar and the entry bath (new granite counters, additional electrical and cabinets in both), remodeled and retiled our family and living room fire places with gorgeous stone and procelain tiles, and did a number of other minor jobs as part of the overall update. We definitely recommend him - he's an independent sole proprietor, with access to other craftsmen and workers (e.g., great cabinet maker and electrician); a terrific professional with architectural and engineering expertise in addition to his contractor knowledge; is very versatile, has great judgment and taste, a ton of contacts and suggestions, and does beautiful work. In fact, we're talking to him now about updating our deck!
