Precision Sewers

About us

My name is Patrick Bailey and I am the owner of Precision Sewers. I have been replacing sewers for approx 15 years and have replaced over 1000 systems in the course of my career. Some easy , some hard and alot that fell somewhere in between. I believe that working smart will always yield better results than working hard. My experience gives me an edge over my competitors. I am passionate in what I do and I am meticulous in the way I do it. I treat every customer as if they were a family member and work very hard to live up to that work ethic.

Super fast.
We chose this company to do the sewer lateral since they were the ones who did the initial estimate provided in our (recently bought) house. We did not look for other estimates. It took 2 or 3 phone/email exchanges to set up a date to work on the sewer lateral. Once that was set, everything went smoothly.
The crew came on time and started work as soon as they parked the truck. I went to work and got an email from EBMUD that afternoon telling me the sewer line passed. I came home and the front yard, sidewalk and street looked great. The only evidence that work had happened was a 4x4 square of cement had been replaced (and had a board and orange cone on it).

Patrick and his crew did a trenchless sewer lateral for us in November 2013. We live in Montclair in the hills so it was a tough job. He and his crew worked through a big rainstorm and the crew was efficient and friendly. They all worked really hard and cleaned up when they were done. He set up the city inspection and made sure we got our certificate of compliance from EMBUD. We would recommend him to others.

He was very efficient and professional. He coordinated his crew very well. He was working on our neighbors house down the street and they had great results, so we hired him. I have recommend him to others in the neighborhood.

I was very upset with him due to we needed 4 holes dug instead of 3 for adequate plumbing. He dug 3 holes: one hole at the curb, one at middle of the street, and one in the back corner. He refused to dig the 4th hole, instead went under the house, and hooked some pipes together stating he didn't need to dig the 4th hole. I argued with him about not digging the 4th hole, but he continued to refuse. He then wanted me to pay him for the extra pipe he used underneath the house to extend down the street into the sewer system. This house is over 100 years old, it is a duplex. He took the pipes that come down outside of the house from the 2 apartments above, where the washing machine water goes into a scupper, and extended them into the normal plumbing. I pointed out to him there were no P traps, to protect us from the sewer gas to the other rooms upstairs, and he wouldn't do anything about it. He charged $200 more for hooking up these pipes into the normal plumbing system, knowing he left us with sewer gases coming into the house. It was unethical, that is not what plumbers do! I would not use him again!

Pat and his crew replaced our sewer lateral. They did a great job. All work was completed on time, prior to closing on our house, and the price, though not as low as other bids, was worth it, considering the responsiveness and willingness to complete the work prior to our closing deadline. Pat handled the permit and the coordinated the city's inspection. He was professional and courteous, and although it took some persistence to receive his bid, everything worked out. Definitely recommended if you need trenchless sewer lateral.

Patrick Bailey at Precision Sewers inspected our house for the seller before we bought it. His estimate for the lateral replacement (required by the new EBMUC ordinance) seemed reasonable so we hired him to perform a trenchless sewer lateral replacement. We told him our move-in date and when we wanted the work done. When the only available inspection was sooner than he had anticipated, he had his team come on the weekend over Father's Day to perform the work in time for the inspection on Monday. The team cleaned and replaced everything--the only signs that any work had been done were the new clean-out caps.
