 + -1 moreRichard came out to inspect my property and recommended a "flailing" process of cutting the vines and weeds back and then shredding them into a fine surface mulch. He showed a thorough knowledge of what was growing there and let me know that once new growth appeared that a registered herbicide provider would need to spray so that the growth would not recur (his company does not provide this service). He assured me that applying herbicide would leave the soil safe for future planting of vegetables and flowers. Mike from Oakland Hills Brush Clearing came out even sooner that expected and spent an entire day performing the "flailing" process. The yard is now totally cleared. They did exactly what they promised promptly and for a reasonable cost. I would use them again if necessary and definitely recommend their services!
Description of Work: I needed my back yard cleared of dense overgrowth of blackberry vines, wild anise and other grasses and weeds.

 + -1 moreI don't have the average backyard, so the estimate was reasonable. When I first met Richard I definitely appreciated the botanical advice in what type of brush I was dealing with. They did an amazing job. I hired them before, and I was happy to use them again. They are courteous, professional, accommodating, and on time.
Description of Work: Cleared my entire 3000 square foot hillside backyard in one afternoon. The brush was thick, overgrown, and required special tools. They safely disposed of the poison oak, and even sprayed a hornets nest they found in the brush.

Description of Work: I have been using Oakland Hills Brush Clearing for about 20 years. They are a delight to deal with. They clear a large fire break on the hillside, prune ivy off fences and side yards, blow leaves off the roof, trim low-hanging trees, and clear other dead brush. I highly recommend Dick Otterstad and his son. The hillside work would be too dangerous for my family to attempt on our own. We always pass the fire inspection after they've been here. It's expensive, but they're worth it.
