We thought we would need to replace the toilet, but he made a simple adjustment that corrected the problem. He was very professional and explained everything in detail.

Estimate was clear and accurate. Service was scheduled for the date and time I requested. Workers arrived on time, explained the newly discovered issues clearly and quoted accurately for the needed work. They worked diligently and finished in a few hours, as expected.

It took over a week between initial visit and finishing the job, with 2 extended days of work, and 3 trips.

They have fair prices and do excellent work. I would use them again.

I think that is very important part of choosing a plumber. The service and timeliness in my mind is one of the things to look for when choosing a plumber. Waiting around 2-3 days is not going to work. After he came, he gave an estimate that was reasonable to both change the plumbing joints (which were bad) and also the wood repair that it had caused from the multiple days that it had been leaking. It was good to know they do this because one of the other plumbers refused to do any wood repairs.

After fixing the issue in a few hours the next day, he cleaned up and left the sink as good as new. Thanks Mallard Plumbing for a job well done!

Excellent to work with. Responsive, easy to set date for estimate, personal and easy to work with, did a great job and left everything clean and tidy. Appearance of work even better than expected. No extra charges, etc. Prompt. Liked both the boss and the workmen. Will go to them in the future for all plumbing needs.

I think the work went well and I felt the work was well done. My only reservation was that the owner (I don't recall his name at this point) didn't discuss some possible options with me, such as flow rate on the aerator--that sort of thing. I would have preferred a step up in flow rate because of how long it takes to get hot water. Also, I felt that the cost was on the high side. However, I would say that the owner was highly capable and honest. In talking with the owner, I elicited that he was a Princeton graduate with a Ph.D. in history from the University of California, Berkeley. It might be worth a few extra bucks to have your plumbing done by a Ph.D. from Cal. However, his employees may not have equivalent academic qualifications.

They did a good job. They were responsive and reliable.

Rob came over and gave us a free estimate (unlike most of the plumbers on this List who wanted $100 just to take a look). He was on time and flexible and quick with scheduling the job. The plumber and his helper showed up on time and did the work in a day (we were sure was needing to go into the second day). The tree trunk must have been a big headache but they got it out. Rob came mid-morning to check in on their work. The guys laid down a tarp down so that our patio stones would be protected, did the job and cleaned up well. They were polite, hard-working guys. We are a 5-unit housing coop and would use Mallard again in a heartbeat.

The man who owns the company seems very smart and when you tell him what you need done he gives you all of the options and the pros and cons of every one. They did a great job and we will use them in future.
