Our overall experience with them went really well. We like them quite a bit. Their price was reasonable for what they did.

The interactions with Bill Wong were super-professional and very informative. He did stick to his original cost estimate for the work, but he ended up doing a lot more work (wood repairs and gutter connections) than originally predicted. In addition, he and his crew moved a large piece of furniture over the roof onto the deck and then into the house. We had requested this because the size of the couch precluded the normal front door entry. No extra costs were charged! and quot;No nickle and dimingand quot; was Bill's motto. I highly recommend his company. I cannot imagine any better roofing company. We will likely use his company also for installing solar panels in the near future.

I wish Bill Wong could do all of my house repairs for the rest of time. If you're someone who wants things done right the first time, this is the company for you. Bill doesn't mess around--he only does things one way, and if you want to cheap out on substandard materials Bill won't take the job. He wants to be able to fully back up all of the work that his crew does, so he makes sure that everything is brought up to snuff. He walked me around on the roof before and during the job, pointing out everything that was being done, and why. He answered every question I had, and then some. Although under no obligation to do so, he honored the price that he had quoted me a year ago during our roof inspection. He also honored his estimate price even though I know that they did more work than we had talked about. I have every confidence that they would come back immediately if we ever had a problem with the work but, more importantly, I know that I won't have to call them back--they don't leave the job until everything is done to their satisfaction.
Bill's crew was great--on time, courteous, efficient, tidy, and quiet. We've all heard various work crews yelling at each other all day long, but these guys barely even had to talk to each other. They all knew exactly what their responsibilities were, and they got right to it. Bill also sent 5 guys, so that the work could be done in one day. You could hardly tell that they'd been there, except that the roof was vented and the gutters were clean--no debris on the ground or walkways, no trash left around and, the next time it rained, no gutter leaks. Bill's brother is the crew chief (this is a very small business), and he took great pains to explain to me everything that was going on, and asked to check the inside ceiling before they cut the vent holes (they opted to vent in another area, just in case). One of the best service experiences I've ever had.
I also highly recommend Bill for roof inspections when you're buying a house--if you want to know everything that could be corrected on that roof, call him. He's also a pragmatist, though, which I love. While the general inspector gave the roof 2 years of life, Bill said it could easily be 5 if some of the maintenance was done. I like that he's not a salesman--he just tells you the issues he sees, and it's up to you whether or not to do anything about it. Bill and his crew exceeded all expectations.

Very professional, prompt and easy to deal with.

Bill Wong gave me excellent, considerate information and estimate. The workers were friendly and professional. The old roofing material was removed, new material laid down, and there was no trace of the work inside the house after they were gone. The roof is tight after a year and even after this winter's rains.

From the initial meeting with Bill Wong through the last day of work performed, my experience couldn't have been better. I selected Interstate Roofing from several roofing companies, all of whom provided written bids. Bill Wong presented a very detailed evaluation of the existing roof and recommended only replacing the oldest portion of the roof and repairing other problem areas. His in depth knowledge of his business, keen attention to detail, and willingness to consider replacing only part of the roof (at his suggestion, not mine) because the rest still had good life left were major factors in my decision to hire his company. The largest part of the job, replacing the front portion of the roof, was over a very large dormer attic space used as an enormous walk-in storage closet. Bill warned me that while they would take great pains to protect the space from debris, that for safety I should remove any items I was concerned about. I did move everything out. However, his crew was extremely careful about collecting debris from the 4 layers removed - both inside the dormer space and outside in the yard. I was amazed and delighted. They were also very careful with surrounding landscaping and plants. All crew members were courteous, punctual and hardworking. The work was completed in record time and needed to be as it was still during the "rainy" season. We had a window of dry weather forecast and they completed the work in that time. It's now over 4 years since the work was completed and the roof looks as if it were new. There has been no problem with any part of the work done. While the cost of the work was not the cheapest, the cost for the quality of roof was definitely a great value. All work detailed in the bid was performed in full. One other note - I had gotten a bid from Interstate a year before, and though under no obligation to do so, Bill Wong was willing to honor the figures in that bid. I would recommend this company without any reservation. They exceeded my expectations across the board.

The project went very well once we were able to schedule the work. Bill Wong is very busy, and it takes some time and patience to get the work scheduled. Bill seems to be very knowledgeable and a stickler for details and doing the job right.

Bill and his crew were extremely professional, flexible and punctual. Excellent communication, with an open dialog and transparency. He explained all our options, was very clear about his proposed solution and process, and followed through on everything he said he would do based on our mutual agreement. Very satisfied.

Gave a good detailed estimate of the work he would perform. When I asked him about specific shingles he promptly added it to the description. Came on the agreed on date. Workers were quiet and respectful. Cleaned up at the end of each day so there was no evidence of the work site debris. At the end of the week they did an even more thorough cleaning of the perimeter. First rainstorm and everything is great.
