Cabinet Making
Charlie Ferguson and Everwood Cabinets came well recommended - I saw some great cabinets that they built for a firiend
He came out to the house, and gave me an estimate, and I decided to go with Everwood to build the cabinets - (after looking at several other cabinet shops
Charlie made measurements, and also had also the specs (size etc) on the new appliances - he submitted plan drawings and we
agreed upon the plan for the kitchen - I put down a deposit, and had to wait for his other projects to be finished - the timing was fine
The finished cabinets were delivered - and then a man that works for Charlie started to install them - Charlie did not regularly up on the installment - several of the cabinets were not hung at straight angles -( but they looked beautiful)- I pointed this out and was ignored - finally the installation was finished . When we started to put in the appliances and check the fit - they did not fit - upon checking the measurements we found that the cabinets were not deep enough, and too high - and that the plans had not been followed when they were being built
(Remember Charlie Ferguson had the exact measurements and requirement for space for the appliances -
I asked him to rebuild the lower cabinets to the proper depth or refund my money
He refunded the money, and took the cabinets - he refused to discuss to reason for the mistakes
So now six months later. I have no cabinets and am starting over with another cabinetmaker
This was a very disappointing and some mystifying experience
