That turned out well. I think it was okay and it was what I expected. It was inexpensive which was good. There was a little bit more charge because my taxes are more complicated. I wouldn't use them in the future because I relocated in Texas but hypothetically, I would use them in the future.

It was great. He was very professional and detail oriented.

First contacted Dimond Tax services in spring of 2012, with a tax prep coupon.  Met with James (Marriner) at their office the first time, then remotely for this past years' return.  James is a very easy person to work with; clear, concise and to the point.  No BS.  
I would definitely work with these guys again.  

I had a couple of, at least to me, unusual situations and mistakes made on my estimated taxes, so I decided to get a Tax consultant for the first time. I called up in mid-march, and I didn't have any trouble getting an appointment.  
I went to the house twice. One for the initial appointment, and the second one a month later to sign the final papers and receive the returns. As this was the later half of march, I expected it to take a while to get the return back. 
He did find deductions I didn't think of.  
He didn't give estimates on when anything would be done.

The service was performed promptly and a receipt was received that we could use as a credit for preparing our income tax forms.

Location was a little difficult to find.
From start to finish it took about 30 minutes, which was awesome.

went over, they did our taxes quickly, and we left.  Mission accomplished, happy customers.

BTW, a clarification on the name of the business: like Paul pointed out, It's Dimond as the name of a person, not Diamond as in the stone! Thanks Paul, DTS and Angie's List for the great job!

BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DEAL FROM ANGIESLIST AGAIN AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND OTHERS WOULD NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ANIGIESLIST EITHER. 
For the following reasons:
1. I have had bad experiences with some providers sold by angieslsit. There is no real criteria of screening before selling these deals. Many providers are rated B or so which means their service has been unsatisfactory. I have even had disappointing experiences with their A rated providers. Angieslist is just trying to profit from selling these deals without a consideration for the quality of service or consumer protection.
me2. In some instances, even the provider accepted the extremely poor service and admitted to a refund. However, angieslsit did not agree with that and did not allow the refund!!!  In one instance, the service was not even provided since the merchant did not deliver it in a timely fashion. Again, they accepted their short-coming and agreed with the refund. However, angieslist blocked the refund due to a " 30-day refund policy!!! It is ludacrious that they expect a 30 day refund request while the provider that they have recommended has taken longer to respond. If I had bought the deal directly from the provider I would have received a refund and an apology. But angieslist, instead of being on the side of the consumer as they advertise., is only after making their own profit. 
3. For the above reasons, I recommend using yelp in your area, finding high-rated providers and shopping from them directly. Yelp is indeed impartial, but angieslit is basically trying to make money for itself. In addition, yelp is free! It is ironic that angieslsit charges us a membership fee to help us consumers avoid dishonest merchants while they themselves are the most dishonest merchant of all time.

The whole experience couldn't have been better. Paul opened the door right on time as we were walking up to his office and was friendly and professional throughout our session. He gave me an appointment, at a convenient time, within two days of my first calling him. My fiancee and I were particularly interested in information related to taxes and home-buying, which Paul spoke of clearly and knowledgeably. He was extremely generous with his time and information. True, you're paying him for a service, but he shares information willingly in a way that other similar professionals, in my experience, do not. I've had tax people say, that's a question for your financial services provider, and my financial service provider say, that's a question for your tax person. Not Paul. If he has information you want, he shares it with you, and it's part of his tax service package: there are no additional consultation fees, nor do you feel rushed or on the clock. His service provides excellent value for money, to say the least. This was my first time using Paul (price includes Angie's List first-time customer coupon). I left with my taxes done, all my questions answered, and the certainty of a return visit next year. I highly recommend Paul Thode.

My wife and I switched to Dimond because our prior tax preparer put in a form in our return that did not even need to be there.  This resulted in a letter from the IRS which freaked us out and which our former preparer did not seem able to understand himself.  So we called the IRS directly and they told us the form did not need to be there in the first place---end of story.  So, we discovered Dimond via Angie's list and are glad we did.  Jim was great.  To the point, easy to understand and fast.  Go a nice fat refund.  We will definitely use Dimond again next year.  Thanks Dimond and thanks Angie's list.

They were nice and friendly. It was an easy going and friendly thing. They weren't real professional but they were certainly nice and everything, but we don't come off as real professional ourselves so that's not what we were expecting. He did make a mistake that we had to correct and cough up some extra money for. We had a coupon from Angie's List. I won't use them again because I finally convinced my wife that turbo tax is as good as any professional.

Excellent! Paul took the time to understand our concerns and prepare our  somewhat complicated 2010 return on a short time frame. He was very responsive, put us at ease through our many questions and was thorough in his explanations and preparation of the returns.

It was great. I didn't have to wait, and it didn't take very long. He was very professional. He answered all of my questions for me and explained things to me.  I will go back next year.

He offered a discount or something for tax preparation. I just picked up my taxes yesterday. I had been working with another provider, and they charged me about $400 to do my taxes; they charged about $100 per form that they did. Paul charged me $150 totally, and he got me a refund for $258. It was wonderful. He is about two minutes from my house actually. I liked everything about them. They were thorough. I am an artist, so I do a lot of different things, and that was costing me a lot of money. When I went to them, they told me that with my tax returns I should not be paying that much money. The price was great. The service was very prompt; they e-filed for me too. They were pleasant to work with. I always wonder if I am going to wind up getting audited at some point, but I don?t think that is going to be the case. They were able to find that I was in a category where I got something because of the whole economic program from Washington, DC, and that was great for me. I was happy with everything they did. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future.
