About us
Hi, I’m Dana Cohen, a Realtor® specializing in residential properties in Piedmont, Oakland and Berkeley. I have an in-depth knowledge of the local market that only comes from being an active member of the community for over thirty years. Since 2007 I have been a top four producer of The GRUBB Company, a boutique real estate firm founded in 1967. With career sales in excess of $470 million, my sales volume places me in the top 1% of real estate professionals nationwide. I treat every transaction as if it were my own, whether it is for $500,000 or $4 million. I truly enjoy what I do and hope to be the resource you turn to for all of your real estate needs. I was born in Montreal, Canada and moved to Oakland, California in 1977. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985, I entered the Macy's department store training program and eventually became a Buyer and Regional sales manager for a variety of clothing and gift lines. Just prior to becoming a Realtor, I was a regional sales manager, based in New York, for a men’s hosiery line. I purchased my first piece of real estate when I was 18 years old and have lived in the Oakland neighborhoods of Crocker Highlands, Montclair, Redwood Heights, Glenview, Piedmont Avenue and Hillcrest Highlands, Berkeley, Stamford (Connecticut) and now reside in Piedmont, California. To this day, I remain a die-hard "bear backer" for the University of California, Berkeley and can frequently be found cheering in the stands at football and basketball games.
