I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Jeff.  He was incredibly professional, responsive and great to work with overall.  While very friendly and easy going, Jeff was a true pro every step of the way.

We ran into Jeff while touring an open house.  He quickly proved that he has a wealth of experience and knowledge regarding the somewhat tricky nuances of Oakland (and East Bay) neighborhoods and local market.  He also is quick to offer up recommendations for inspectors and contractors who are responsive and reasonably priced.  

While my husband had already bought a home, this was my first experience in Real Estate.  Jeff managed to move things along quickly for us but made sure that I was in the loop and educated on the process and details of the transaction.  Not only did he keep us on schedule, he also took the extra time to make sure we were clued in on the details of the transaction.  Additionally, Jeff recommended our inspectors, helped set up appointments for us and was there to oversee things on the day of.

Also, Jeff definitely didn't try to sell us a house... he really helped us find somethign that was going to be a great fit and good investment for us.  He pointed out both positive and negative details on the houses that we looked at, helping make sure that we had a solid understanding of what we would be in for regarding our purchase.  I was also very impressed by how thorough he was on home tours.  For properties that we were very interested in, if my husband started checking out the crawl space, Jeff was right there, flashlight in hand.  Throughout our tours, Jeff was incredibly helpful in pointing out potential work and repairs that may be necessary.

Both my husband and I were very happy with our experience with Jeff and would definitely send friends and family his way!  Fantastic and even a fun experience!

I was referred to Richard Matus by a friend. I can't begin to express how much of a great experience my wife and I had with him. We're first time home buyers, and he had to deal with our picky taste, small budget, and overall ignorance about the home buying process. Not only does Richard take his time answering questions, he returns calls and emails almost instantly - even on weekends! Above all else, he is HONEST - if he thinks that a house will be too much work, or if you're over-bidding, he will tell you right away. Additionally, he saved us a ton of money through his shrewd negotiation skills.
