All Seasons Construction
About us
All Seasons has provided quality construction services since 1993. In the past several years the company’s focus has become foundations and drainage – areas that are particularly important when you consider the age of the homes in the area, the abundance of hills and California’s winter rains. Proper retaining walls, concrete application and drainage systems are critical to keeping your home protected from rainfall, ground water and runoff. Replacement of old, failing foundations is critical to keeping your home safe and still standing after the next big earthquake. All Seasons’ experienced foremen supervise every job and ensure that all work will stand the test of time and mother nature. We build beautiful decks, too! Additional DBA ASC Berkeley Inc.

"Thank you! It's always great to hear from a happy customer several years on."
"We're so glad you are pleased with the work. One note: I believe there is an extra 0 in the cost as stated; it should read $45,000, not $450,000!"
"After speaking with this customer about his patio leakage issue, I determined that, unfortunately, it was not a situation we were qualified to resolve. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone, but we try to save everyone's time by screening out jobs that are not a good match for our services."
"I do 600-700 estimates per year so I cannot specifically recall {Member name removed} house but I do not recommend a customer consult with a structural engineer unless a foundation is borderline, so I must have had some uncertainty in {Member name removed} case. The work we do is expensive and I do not want anybody spending money that may be better directed to other home improvement projects. We have plenty to keep us busy and I have no need nor interest in over-selling anyone. I referred {Member name removed} to an engineer so she could get an independent third-party opinion from a qualified professional with no financial stake in the extent of the remedial measures recommended. That's what she did and I am, frankly, glad he felt that no substantial foundation repairs are necessary. {Member name removed} house was built in 1914. Assessing the need to remove and replace a 100 year-old foundation is not an exact science. Ask ten different engineers what they think and you may get several different solutions. As for the thoroughness of my inspection, sometimes I need to get into the crawl space and sometimes I don't. For example, a rotating foundation can be observed from the outside. As for the engineer spending 45 minutes under there, I would expect no less considering he is being paid a substantial fee for his assessment."
Mark was great to work with. He gave us several ideas and options. Helped us work through cost vs benefit of various options and gave some out of the box ideas too. Â We went with a traditional French Drain. Â It was well done. Â The team lead, Miguel, and his crew were great overall - worked hard, communicated well, got things done well and quickly. It has been a few years and IT WORKED! We no longer get our streams through the garage. Yay!!!
My slight disappointments were mainly communication & follow up: a new treatment was used on our concrete without notification - or instructions to us; when I contacted the company with questions / issues after the work was completed, I did not get a response (they didn't even follow up to see how the treatment worked and we were told we were the first they used it on); the guys broke a couple things in the yard & didn't admit it (Not worth anything, but we saw parts of a bird feeder in the debris pile. I just want people to be honest if something happens.) Â I'll chalk that up to lessons learned and just make sure I ask enough questions.
Overall, they did a great job and I would recommend them.
"Our profile states that we cover *portions* of Alameda and Contra Costa counties. The specific range may vary depending on the nature of the work and our availability. We're always sorry to disappoint interested customers, but we find that keeping our service area small helps us provide the best possible service!"
"I believe we did our best to make the corrections we could, but I understand the homeowner's disappointment and am sorry that the result was not 100% satisfactory. We have since made some policy and personnel changes to prevent the same issues from recurring."
"We did this work back in 2011 and we're glad to hear that your crawl space is dry, and that you're pleased with your wall and stairway. Note: by our records, the total cost was just under $35,000, including some additional concrete work."
This is not something I ever expect to have to do again, but if the occasion arose I would have no hesitation calling All Seasons again and recommend them without reservation.
"We appreciate your business! Thanks for the kind words."
"So glad to hear the drainage is working! Thanks for posting."
They were busy with other jobs, so they didn't get to our job until late November. There were three workers and they finished the job in a week. The arrived between 8:00 and 8:30 each morning, and finished by 3. The workers were efficient, clean, nice, and professional.
We are very happy with the work that was done, and also very happy with All Seasons Construction. It was a very good experience, and we'd use them again for any contractor needs.
"Thanks for the great review, and I'm glad we were able to make your home safer!"
The team that Mark pulled together managed to do the job in 2/3 the time he had originally estimated. The demolition & subsequent construction went without a hitch; while the house definitely looked like work was being done, the crew cleaned up all debris daily, and there was never any problem with getting into and out of the house, despite all the stuff going on. When a potential issue arose regarding drainage for our new driveway, the foreman mentioned it to me & we had a brief discussion with Mark. We were able to do the right thing without any slippage in the schedule, and at a modest bump in cost.
Our house looks virtually the same as it had prior to the work, with two important exceptions: the pillars are nice and plumb, and the driveway runs smoothly to the street without the growing gap it had earlier.
How'd it go? I couldn't be happier with the whole process. Well, if it had been instantaneous and totally without charge, yeah, but as far as experiences in this life go, it was pretty much positive.
"This was a big job! I'm so glad you are pleased with the results. Mark"
"This was a very simple, partial sidewalk replacement that went very smoothly and with all required permits. I have no idea why [Member Name] was not pleased. The price he was quoted was exactly the price he paid. If he felt it was too much, then why did he hire us? In fact, we actually poured more square footage than was called for in the contract. I'm sorry of you were unhappy in any way and I wish you had contacted me about it instead of posting an unfavorable review. I work very hard to keep every single one of my customers happy. -Mark"

"Thanks so much for your feedback! It has been our pleasure to work with you."
"Thanks for the great review! We'll pass it on to the crew. Mark"
We would, without question, hire All Seasons Construction again to do work of this type.
"It was our pleasure working with you. We're so glad that you are pleased with the job! Mark"
"This request came to us through the Request a Quote system. There was no email address or phone number included, but we did send a reply through the system. Our apologies if that reply did not go through. We are discontinuing use of Request a Quote until the functionality improves!"
