I have had repairs at various buildings I take care of and Joel has solved all issues that have come up.

It had been done incompetently by the telephone service people recently. He moved the lines to less obtrusive places and crawled into places the phone company was too lazy to go. Prompt, professional and offered to do work I didn't ask for.

Joel is excellent at everything he does. He comes prepared to do the job, he explains what he's doing. He makes sure everything is working to my satisfaction before he leaves. This is the 2nd time we've used him for ethernet wiring and we'll definitely call him again in the future if we need the same kind of work.

I explained what I needed and gave Joel a brief tour showing him the layout and various access options. This was our second time using Joel and we would definitely seek him out again if a need arises. He was thorough and punctual. Joel ran Cat5 Ethernet cable from the basement to the attic and then down an internal wall and install dual jacks for coaxial cable and Ethernet. This eliminated the need for our last remaining cable television box as we switch to a TiVo Mini to tap into our TiVo DVR where we find the interface to be so much more user friendly than the Comcast one.

He did just fine. When he was done, it worked which is all I'm looking for. He was fine. He contacted me quickly and he showed up when he said he would and he finished when he said he would. He's a nice guy. The price was what I expected to pay.

Very satisfied with the work. Joel did not leave until he was sure that everything on the network was working as we wanted it.

I contacted Joel on Wednesday and explained to him the work I wanted performed. He said that the work would be approximately $400 since I had described 4 wire pulls ($100 each). He could come on Sunday to perform the work. He arrived on time on Sunday and looked at the work. He explained that what I had described as one wire run (moving the Comcast cable inside) was actually three wire runs (one for each of the TV boxes and one for the cable modem) and that the estimate would be $600, which I agreed to. He methodically set about running each of the cables. One of the runs that I requested was to run the wires behind the wall from my TV set down to my home theater system cabinet. When he went to perform the work, there was a fire break in the wall and he could not do the run without opening up another hole in the middle of the wall to drill through the fire break. We agreed it would be better if I ordered a cord cover kit to hide the wires on the outside of the wall rather than running the wires through the wall. That dropped the price back down to $500. The rest of the wiring exceeded my expectations. Everything was finished very professionally with wall plates and then with cables from the wall plates to my equipment. He was able to gain access from under my house and in my attic to place all of the wall plates in perfect positions. When he switched everything over to the new cables he had me test everything to make sure it was working - my phone, high-speed internet, cable to both TVs, and the internet connection to my home theater system. Everything worked perfectly the first time. Joel was great to work with. He understood what I wanted and was able to execute independently with top quality results. I would call him if I had any additional cabling needs and would recommend him to anyone else.

If what you need is phone jacks, Joel is your guy. He really knows his stuff. Came out, assessed the issues and fixed the problems. Couldn't be more straight forward.

Joel was good with scheduling. He arrived on time and did work as proposed and made additional suggestions for "cleaning up" the wiring in our home. I would say the quality of work was good. Our home is tri level with lots of stairs and I think this presented some difficulty for him. Only complaint is the wishy-washiness of pricing. Was originally given a quote of $400 based on hourly rate of $50. Work was completed in just under 4 hours yet he proposed a price of $300 including parts. When I pointed out that the math didn't add up, there was more negotiating. Can't help but feel he would have taken me for a ride if I had let him. For this reason, I could only recommend him some reservations. BE SURE TO OBTAIN WRITTEN ESTIMATES AND INVOICING.

This guy is great ! He is ingenious, skilled (about 30 years' experience), loves to problem solve, easy to work with (explained what he was doing as he worked). I would HIGHLY recommend him. Called Joel on 12/30/12 to schedule a phone wiring repair, but really didnt expect him to be able to do it until after New Years. I explained that 2 of the lines in my Panasonic pbx phone system were dead and my DSL was incredibly slow (and that my wife was miffed because it all was working fine until I decided to tweak it a little to get the DSL faster - wasnt broke until I "fixed" it). He said no problem, and showed up the next day (New Year's Eve). Said he'd give it a try, and I wouldnt have to pay him if he couldnt figure out what was wrong. He got to work and tried many different combinations and permutations, cleaned up some loose connections, and after 1.5 hours or so, everything was back in working order. I'm happy, and more importantly, so is my wife ("happy wife, happy life"). Again, HIGHLY recommended !

Joel was very pleasant. Prompt. Willing to come later in the evening. Explained what he was doing. Competitive pricing. Did the job right the first time. Fixed my problem. The phone and DSL work great. I would definitely hire him again

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Joel listened to what we needed and methodically walked me through it to ensure he understood. Our project was small but covered the three areas he specializes in: - Tidying Coax after Comcast came and "fixed" things, - Adding two Ethernet drops - Installing three phone jacks After that he was off like a shot and didn't stop for more than five hours after which everything worked first time. Scheduling Joel make some flexibility on your part (he is super busy) but the standard of his work is worth the wait. Cannot recommend him enough.

I submitted a request to the supplier via Angie's List. Got no response nor acknowledgement. I submitted a follow-up pointing out I had not heard anything at all. I waited another two days and filed my complaint.

Joel pulled out the existing cable that was draped around the two stories and did the wiring inside the walls. He plugged up the existing holes on the exterior. He moved aside any furniture where it was in his way of doing work and put it back after he finished. He neatly put in all the wall plates and connections and cleaned up after himself. The result was really outstanding. I no longer have any wires showing outside my home and all my TV's and computer are in working order - he didn't have to go back and adjust anything. It was all done right from the get-go. Everything looks very neat and professional. I had one wall box that the cable company had hooked up the tv cable to, but never bothered to cover it because they said they didn't have the means to put a plate over the box because of the way the cable had to be fitted to the wall. The cable company said I'd have to get an electrician to install a new and bigger wall box outlet. Oddly, Joel was able to do it and I now have an appropriately installed outlet box with a finished plate cover. And, he never mentioned any problem doing it. I personally didn't think he could do it all in one day, but he did. As he says, he doesn't like to stop and take a break once he starts working. I am sending a copy of this review to my cable company and will be opening up a dialogue with them.

I had tried to hire countless others to do this job over the years and no one would take it on.Joel said "sure, I can do that no problem" and proceeded to do just that - with almost no down time on any of our devices.When we encountered a problem with a TV late one evening, he said he would come over that night, or the next day (a holiday) to fix it.He is kind, considerate, respectful and I could not recommend him more highly.

I contacted with A Telephone Jacks Company based on the positive Angie's List recommendations. I reside in Denver, CO and needed to arrange telephone wiring service in my parent's retirement home in Fairfield, CA. Every aspect of the service was excellent. My phone call was immediately answered. I explained my situation and stated I was not located in the area but resided several states away. I was concerned that the person who handled the telephone wiring installation was professional, pleasant and trustworthy (as my parents are elderly). Not a problem. The company owner understood my situation and promised everything would be handled properly. The installation was more complicated than expected. The installer (company owner) drove over 45 minutes to the residence and arrived on time. He took time to explain how he planned to install the wiring. When he found he would have to climb into the attic and go through 2 bedrooms, he took time to explain his approach to my parents. He handled the entire installation professionally and efficiently. The new phone line works perfectly. The installer do a great job of cleaning up after himself. True to his word, EVERYTHING was handled properly. Despite the job taking 3 times longer than expected, the final price was exactly what was estimated. Not a penny more! I HIGHLY recommend the services of A Telephone Jacks Company! He was very thorough in his work. He checked all previously inactive phone jacks to make sure they were now active.

He explained some of the more challenging bits, such as running a wire to a location without attic or basement access, and we discussed our options for this. All in all, he did a great job, even cleaning up some odd bits unrelated to the particular task (such as changing old attic antenna connectors out for newer ones), and cleaned up really well after himself. I am generally very happy with the quality of his work, and would highly recommend him for data/speaker/internet cabling work.

When ATT said it was a simple matter of moving wires around on the telephone jacks I decided to give it a try. After spending a couple of hours trying to figure it our I gave up. After calling our electrician (who could not help us) and looking thru the local yellow pages without any luck (the cabling firms listed specialized in commercial projects) I searched Angie's list and found A Telephone Jacks Company. When I called I immediately reached the owner Joel Salinas who understood exactly what the problem was and was able to set up an appt for 2 days later on a Saturday. He arrived and quickly explained what he needed to do to correct the problem and started right in. He checked how the lines were installed at the main incoming Telephone panel for the house, rewired 4 jacks thru out the house and tested them to make sure they worked. Turns out this is what he did for a living before the telephone company was broken up years ago. I am really happy with the quality of work, he was experienced, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to call Joel again.
