SolarCraft was easy to work with and schedule. Their tech came out once to assess the inverter problem & they handled communication with the inverter manufacturer support rep. A replacement inverter was shipped out to SolarCraft, and a second appointment set up for another tech to install the new replacement inverter covered under my warranty. SolarCraft only charged me for the 2 service calls. Very reasonable, their techs were very personable and knew their stuff. Excellent customer service.

Zach Schlabach was extremely helpful and flexible, as well as being highly responsive. He provided quotes on removing and reinstalling the system from 2002, as well as providing a quote to upgrade the system, bring it up to new codes and make it more efficient. We elected to go with the updated system. He was extremely responsive and helpful, coordinating with the roofing contractor, returning multiple phone calls and emails promptly and making sure all the work was done as quoted while we were away. He was a pleasure to work with!

They did a great job with the installation, but a week later it started leaking. A year later is was leaking like crazy from 3 different places. When they came out they tried to charge me for things I had fixed myself. They did replace it and they charged me for it. There were also wiring problems but I'm an electrician so I fixed it myself. I told them about it so when they came out the guy didn't do anything and then charged me for it anyway. I called the company to tell them I fixed it myself and asked why he was charging me for it. They apologized and said they'd take it off the bill, but that's pretty unethical. They charge in 15 minute increments, the first 15 minutes is $75. They tried to charge me $175 but we negotiated. I have to trust him that they are doing an honest job, I had someone working up on the roof who let me know it was leaking. I think they need to be straight forward about the warranty. They told me I had a 5 year warranty, but I didn't read the fine print and apparently it's not on the work. I have to call and ask them what the warranty is on. If you call them out it takes them 2 weeks to get out here.

The solar heating company messed up the wiring. The guy who came out didn't do the job on the controls very well. He didn't screw down the terminals properly so they shorted out and fried my timer. The overall experience was fine. The price was very good.
