Inspired Interiors

We initially hired Kirsten only for advice about interior paint colors. We ended up consulting her on much more, because she demonstrated such a breadth and depth of knowledge about which renovations would give us the most bang for our buck. She also pointed out things that we wouldn't have thought of on our own - e.g., the demolition of one wall of an enclosed entryway into the house, replaced by a pony wall, made a welcoming foyer and made the living room seem much bigger. To get a sense of our tastes and styles, Kirsten looked at the furniture we already have, and she had us pick out "want" and "don't want" choices from furniture catalogs. She "got" us dead on: she brought us a gorgeous contemporary chandelier that makes us happy (we wouldn't have dreamed that a chandelier existed that we could love so) and that sets off our dining table, and it was an excellent price. Everything Kirsten suggested complemented the house's 1950's architecture, while avoiding any hint of creating a "stuck in the 1950's" look. We appreciated her ability to work within our budget limitations and still bring the house into the 21st century. It looks fabulous. She's worth every penny we spent.
