Initial discussion took place on November 28th to perform the work. After much delay, an agreement was made on January 10th to perform the work and I paid one-half of the agreed price. Between January 10 and January 23 the only work that was performed was the installation of a ground rod (which took him two hours to install). He stated that he was having a personal family emergency which I tried to be understanding for one week and delayed the project. When he finally said that he would start, I waited for two hours for him to show up. After two hours, I called him and he stated that he was having problems with his truck. This delay, along with consistent prior times where he was hours late and did not do what he said he would do, caused me to take him off of the job. I asked that he return my deposit which he did not. Therefore, for $1700, I received a ground rod, a service box (wrong type), an electrical conduit (wrong size), and some wire which proved to be the wrong amperage. After doing other jobs for me prior to this experience, I was confident that he would be a capable electrician. This was inaccurate on my part. I would not recommend Sherman Electric.
Description of Work: Sherman Electric was contracted to upgrade a service panel to include running new conduit to a location specified by the utility company, install new service panel, service head, and all proper grounding as per city and NEC codes.
