They sent the wrong color tiles. When I called later and asked the salesman about it, he seemed baffled about why I should bring it up. There was no apology and since I was constrained by time, was unable to return the tiles and had to use them.

I bought tile for the back splash and the floor. My experience was good and it was a very good price. They were very responsive. We told them what we wanted and they delivered. They had to get the order in and it was in when they said. We picked it up at their store. I liked the sales people. They guided us through things that we should be looking for. They have a good selection. I would use them again.

I was having trouble finding a tile for my master shower re-tile project. I had been checking large hardware chains and high end design stores for tile but found nothing I liked. My contractor/tile installer gave me the names of 3 businesses to check out for tile. I was going to skip visiting Transworld because it was the furthest from where I live in L.A. I’m glad I didn’t. It’s in a small strip mall that I almost missed. The tile displays and the way the showroom is set up make it easy to see everything. But the best thing about Transworld Tile is the staff. The first time I went into the showroom, Mary explained how the showroom was set up, asked what I was looking to do and told me they could work with any budget. Pick out a high end tile and they would find an affordable similar looking substitute. I did see a tile that I liked but went on to check out the other two showrooms to be thorough. Second showroom didn’t have a good selection and third showroom had an incredible collection, including the tile I liked, but no one to help me.

I went back to Transworld Tile two more times – same friendly staff offering great advice and service. I ordered my tile on the 3rd visit. Don helped me find a pencil liner and floor tile to coordinate with the subway and glass tile I had chosen. The tile is now installed and everything looks fabulous.

The only downside – and this might have something to do with the tile I ordered – is there’s no returning extra tiles like at Lowe’s or Home Depot. My tile was special ordered from the maker so that’s probably the reason. My contractor/tile installer overestimated how much tile I would need so I’m currently in possession of a few extra boxes of high end tile. (trivets?)

As a first time home owner, this was my first major project. I had a great experience purchasing with Transworld Tile and I will definitely use them again when I remodel my 2nd bathroom.

Transworld Tile had a great selection of quality tiles and the staff was always available to answer my questions. Briana was especially patient and helpful in narrowing down the tile selection based on my limited bathroom space and and my preference for small grout lines. I finally chose Atlas Concorde Travertini porcelain tiles in Almond and Flannel, and am very pleased with the results; my new bathroom looks bright and open with the light tile walls and dramatic with the gray-brown floor and shower pan. I made an excellent choice in purchasing my tile from Transworld.

I purchased bathroom tile from Transworld Tile for a master bathroom remodel at the suggestion of my tile installer. First, I have to say that I really like supporting small businesses and these people, particularly the female salesperson, are great to work with. Very personable and friendly. My only complaint is that we (my tiler and I) over estimated the amount of bull nosing we needed done and when we asked if they would refund for the unused service they pointed to their no returns policy. I felt that was unfair as this wasn't us returning tile but us not having them bull nose tile (performing a service). Having said that, we did come up one tile short in the work and they gave us their display tile so I will have to say they made up for that bump in the road.

Excellent service. Don was helpful both in asking good questions and providing samples that met my description. They gave me samples to take home without cost. He was also helpful in confirming my estimate of the amount of tile to order, so I did not have to purchase excess.
