We were given a free estimate for a detail cleaning service and were assured that two cleaning people would "pull everything out" of our shelves in every room and take everything off of tables and counters (to dust), sweep and polish the floors, clean the bathrooms thoroughly, and even wash all of the windows, sills, and baseboards in the house in a 3 hour appointment for a total of $200.00. I was a bit skeptical that those tasks could be done to a high standard in just 3 hours. But the business owner again assured me that it could be done. She would be one of the workers and would just "bang it out". (The "bang it out" part was an exact quote.) She also asked if I wanted my carpets shampooed, as an add-on service. I told her "no" at the time, letting her know that the most important thing to me were clean floors and a spotless kitchen and bathroom. Later, I called back to add o n the carpet shampooing. I did not realize what a mistake that would be! When the cleaners arrived, they brought in the rug cleaning machine, but no cleaning solution or other cleaning products. I asked about this and was told that the products would be brought in from the car. This never happened. I was too trusting and left them alone in my home to clean. Big mistake! The carpets were "cleaned" with nothing but water. I now have ugly water stains on my carpet. The bathroom was half-cleaned, with the toilet clean on the inside only, hair left in the shower, and soap residue still in the bathtub. Nothing was "pulled out" of the shelves for the dusting to be done. No dusting was done at all. Only some of the walls were cleaned. And nothing looked much different from the way it looked before they arrived. The kitchen was not cleaned at all. And the floors were not only unwashed, but they were also unswept! I had told the business owner repeatedly how important it was to me that the floors be thoroughly cleaned. She then asked me for more money (another $125) to come back and clean the floors, stovetop, and oven. I felt I must report this company so that others do not experience such results when in a vulnerable state of mind.
