MKO Painting

I got estimates from 6 painters and Matthew was right in the middle of the price range. I chose him because he was insured and included the paint in the price (even if I wanted it from Restoration Hardware instead of Dunn-Edwards which is what all the other estimates included). He told me I didn't need to paint the ceilings which he felt were in good condition but did need to paint the baseboards in a couple of rooms. This was included in his estimate but wasn't in the other painters' estimates. Ultimately he did the baseboards throughout the house without adding an extra charge. He and his workers always removed their shoes before entering the house. They covered all of the floors and cabinetry and furniture (which they moved either to the center of the room or out of the room. Some of the furniture was very large and heavy.) They were meticulously detail oriented, checking and rechecking for spots they might have missed. They worked from 8:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night and got the job pretty much done in 3 days instead of the 5 they had scheduled. The morning of the 4th day they finished cleaning up, touching up, and moving back furniture. They labeled the paint cans with the name of the color and the rooms the paint was used in and neatly stacked them in the garage.
