Schiro's Collision Repairs

I was referred to Schiro's Collision Repair by Robertson Honda in North Hollywood after my car was hit by another car. I have a Honda Civic, and Schiro's is an authorized Honda Profirst Collision Repair Facility. The owner is very friendly and super helpful. He was involved in the repair process and straight forward about what needed to be repaired.  He also went out of his way to help me with something that wasn't even part of the damage caused by the accident. They also dealt with the insurance company and made it easy to navigate the process. I couldn't be more happy with the service I received. I highly recommend them!

For years my driver's side door hinge had been making a strange popping noise.  One day the door simply refused to close and I realized the hinge had essentially broken loose from the frame.  I took it to my regular mechanic and he recommended Schirro's.  Got to Schirro's about 8:30 a.m. and his place was already full of cars.  Nevertheless, the clerks at the front desk greeted me courteously and a few minutes later a technician was looking at my car.  He quoted me a price--I was shocked at how low it was given that it was a foreign sports car.  I left the car and they promised to get it done that day.  About 3 in the afternoon I called them and they told me the car was done.  I picked it up and the door worked as well as new.  And I paid the price quoted earlier in the day.  Given how busy they were I really would't been surprised if it took a couple of days but they got it done in no time and I was quite happy.  Yes it was a relatively small job but they could easily have used that as a reason to push me to the back of the line.  They did not.  Strongly recommended.

I've been remiss in writing about this excellent business. My husband and I have both taken our cars in with serious body damage and been very satisfied with their work and and the knowledgeable and caring service provided by Micah Elsom, who was always happy to answer our questions and rectify any problems we might have. I'm sure the other service advisers are just as friendly and professional. The office is clean and comfortable, and refreshments are provided.
One time my husband's car was damaged so much that it was not drivable. Even though the office was closed for the day, the company picked it up right away on a flatbed and secured it in a locked storage lot. The estimate and insurance inspection were completed the next day. On this occasion there had been more than $13K damage caused by a side collision, including a broken axle and bent frame, so there was a lot of work to do. When we got the car back, it was impossible to tell it had been damaged.
We have had some very bad experiences with inferior shops, including hasty and sloppy work and new damage done to areas that were not involved in the original accident. This is the best body shop we have ever used. The work is impeccable and the service unequaled. We recommend it unreservedly.

These are the most professional and easy to work with people in the business. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with different body shops in the past due to insurance recommendations. At other shops I was lied to, put of for several weeks with excuse after excuse about missing parts (I found out they were waiting for used parts to become available!! and the work was less than perfect. I learned my lesson and for my recent accident I insisted that I be allowed to use Schiro's. They treated me with respect. The work was done quickly and I would defy anyone to see where any damage had been done previously. I have brought several others to this shop abd they agreed with me.
