Blake Purdy handled both these service calls personally and did a first-rate job. He was prompt, highly focused and extremely experienced and competent as far as I can judge, plus was friendly and a true pleasure to work with. At $150 per hour for outside calls and $125 for in-shop, his routine service pricing is on the high side by comparison with the other computer techs I canvassed and have experienced, also higher than even a specialized computer tech who services my boss and other medical professionals in their offices or homes. However, Blake is running a full-shop multi-tech business in a fairly upscale neighborhood with all the overhead that entails and also provided some attention by phone without charge for a separate complication. I believe he is honest and extraordinarily reliable and delivered a level of performance and convenience I found to be worth the investment. I only wish I could afford to use him more often. In any case, for anybody who is looking for solid results without a lot of hassle and inconsistency, I recommend him highly. And he's Apple certified. Great guy!

"[Member Name Removed], thanks for taking the time to write this very thoughtful and courteous review. I don't check Angie's list that often and just saw this. Thank you so much :) Blake"

They were very nice and professional, yet personable.
They fixed my machine in the time they said they would, the price to fix
was more than fair for the work they performed.
They definitely understood that I wanted to update my machine
to make it last a longer, and just did a great job.
Very Happy, would use again and recommend them.

I called them to see if they could look at my Net Gear Ready NAS unit because I seemed to have problems with the power supply.
They said come on over.  I found a friendly group of smart technicians.  They put it on the bench and confirmed a faulty power supply and would order the part.  They called me the next day and said the part was in and the repair would be done end of day.  I picked it up the next day and it is working fine.  BTW no data was lost. Yay!

I was the entire IT department for our company and first of all found it refreshing to deal with someone who didn't treat me as they didn't hear a word a said after going down the list of diagnostics I had (and had not) done. The amount I paid was for 2 trips to my home and assessing a total of a total of 6 computers. (1 was a very quick question on part pricing).

VERY competent and very worth the price. My only regret is that it took me this long to post the review!

They were quick, responsive and professional. The repair cost was about one quarter of the cost of a new computer. I highly recommend them.

Once somebody has done the work for me and they are honest about it is what I like. I made a mistake in what I asked him to install in the computer and he bought the software that was appropriate for that. By the time he bought it, I knew I made a mistake and I told him. I told him that I would pay for the software; he said no, I‘d give it to somebody who needed it. He made good on my mistake, which I was very impressed about. He was friendly. When he first started, he was working at his apartment now he got a store, which did make it easier, he could come from the back door. He price was fair. I would definitely use his services again in the future.

"Can you believe I just saw this review? I didn't know I had such a following on Angies list here. They've changed something in the last couple of months where its free to look at your merchant account and respond to reviews. Thank you [Member Name Removed]. Blake"

One thing impressed me especially. On the phone with him, I misspoke and told him the wrong version of Windows 7 to purchase. He purchased it. When we cleared up the error, he didn't charge me for it. He figured someone in the future would want the other version of Windows 7, and he'd have it on hand, unused. Meanwhile, he purchased the correct version for me and installed it. I definitely plan to use him again.

I dropped off my laptop at PCMAC's drop off location at "The Gallery" in the NOHO Arts District. Technician provided me with same day service. After two hours I was called and my system was ready for pick-up. Service was fast, courteous, and professional with a great price. I have since recommended this company to my employer as they also work on main frame servers and office terminals. They also fix Macintosh computers and set up Mac networks.
