It was perfect! Really great. Still looks like it was done yesterday.
The only reason for slightly less than perfect score was that is was tough to schedule, although very nice to speak with. I think they were moving offices or something. But once scheduled, everything was great.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out really nice. It was like a Catch 22 where they wanted a little bit more and I ended up paying more. It was $200 extra. They did good work. They were delayed in getting there because they used the excuse they got things mixed up. He had sent the guys someplace else and then they came to me. They did good work once they were there but I am leery of using them again because I would be afraid of the hidden costs.

I had my kitchen floor tiled. The workers arrived promptly at 8am on Thursday morning and the job was completed noon Saturday.. I am very impressed with the overall quality, standard and workmanship. I bought the standard 10X10 kitchen and paid extra for the additional space. I would definitely recommend this company.

This experience has been a roller coaster ride. I called and scheduled then David the owner called me to cancel and that he was going to loose $$. I'm not sure why this was my problem since it was he that posted the deal on AL to begin with.  I then had to explain to him that my job was minimal and had no removal of previous tiles. We then rescheduled, I then had to cancel due to an scheduling problem. I then rescheduled and nobody showed up, I then rescheduled a day later, a guy showed up and said he'd be back in a couple of days. I then called the owner to confirm that this was for sure going to happen. Golan said he'd confirm and call me back. I emailed and called again, no confirmation or call back.  Friday rolls around and his guy shows up and the job is done. Phew!  The tiler was very nice and professional. Lesson: I got what I paid for but will never do this again, since not knowing if someone is going to show up or not is super stressful. Communication from Audrey was good but they don't answer the phone on some days and don't respond to emails some of the time.

The installers were on time, polite and professional. The tile looks great.

My only complaint is that in moving a cabinet from the vanity to another area, they lifted it from the top, so when I went to replace it, the top and door had pulled apart and now I am unable to open one of the doors and use the cabinet as before. Also the strip bridging the carpet and the tile was not secured on one end. The nail was bent upon pounding it into the floor, so the end of the strip does not stay down. One of the tiles has two small chips in it, and they cut too far into the carpet when they were removing it, so there is a small slice in the carpet.
When I called to inform them of these problems, I was told that they don't take responsibility for moving furniture and that if I wanted to cover up the cut into the carpet I could buy a wider strip of metal and replace the narrow one in place. David said he would come our and look at it, but he never did or never followed up with me

David first came by to inspect the kitchen area.  It was larger than the area covered by the deal but the additional area was quoted at the same price so the whole area was included. We arranged for the work to begin a week later. I then chose the ceramic tile from several samples.
The contractors showed up promptly at the appointment a week later.  They had to make a trip to Home Depot first.  Upon returning, they began the work of removing the linoleum tile.  For about three hours, they worked on removal and installing the ceramic tile.
They were short a few tiles so they had to return a couple of days later.  The contractor called ahead and arrived timely. The remaining area was completed in about an hour.
Very happy with the finished look!

Initially the team never showed up for the morning appointment. I got different stories about why but just when I was about to give up for the day they showed up--at 2pm. Because of the late start the whole experience was less than perfect. They worked 3 hrs that day, as I was unwilling to let them stay till 7pm as they requested.
The next day they showed up early and on time, but said they could only work a few hours as they had another job. This made the whole job go three days which was very annoying as I was scheduled to go out of town and had to move things around and cancel plans. The team was apologetic, but made it clear that the other job was more important and.the promotions had backed ip their schedule. On the third day of the job, the person in charge who booked the whole thing finally showed up and offered a terse apology for the inconvenience. But that was it, no other concessions.
To summarize the other frustrating aspects of the project, there were at least 6-7 phone calls trying to sort out the scheduling, the "no-shows" and to remind them of the fact that I had 2 pedestal sinks, and ask them to use an experienced crew for that. When the crew came they confessed they didn't know how to handle the sinks and the supplied information had not been shared with them. After much worry on their part over the first day, they brought someone with them the second day and figured it out. It turned out to be not a big deal.
The crew was fairly neat and considerate, but not perfect. They kept spilling water on my wood floors and rug, and it didnt improve even when I pointed it out and asked them to be careful. They placed the toilets and sinks in the bath and shower while working, and left them both a mess after the job was done. I noticed one of the toilets was leaking several days later, but I tightened it up and it was fine. This was typical-- great work on the floor and then half-hearted follow up.
Now, the floors...They look great and turned out just fine. I was worried about the grout, and the guys took great care redoing the area where I wanted the cracks fuller and flush...So not a pleasant experience, but all in all a good finished project, and a pretty good deal -- I think!

Estimate time and interaction was great; I was "upsold" willingly for one bathroom at a cost of $200, for 6 x 24 tile instead of the standard 12 x 12. The other "standard" tile for the other bathroom was, according to the rep, a free upgrade--and I think the tile is very high quality, perhaps higher than I expected.
The first hitch came when installers arrived, with the wrong color tile. We had to wait over the weekend to get the correct color tile--the supplier sent the wrong tile, I was told. No problem, those things happen, and the installers were very sorry they couldn't finish the whole job as promised. The installers returned to finish the one bathroom the next day and did an excellent job--I'm very pleased with it, especially considering the cost.
As for the second bathroom, I'm not as pleased. The upgraded 6 x 24 tiles seem to have been installed too close to one another for adequate grout lines, and in places the grout is not present, having come out. In addition, the tiles are a bit uneven/not level, with some edges sticking up.
Moises, the installer, said give him a call if I had any problems, but I've lost his number, and general recent "busyiness" has kept me from getting back to GMS.
I'd give a grade of A on the upstairs bathroom, and a grade of C on the downstairs bathroom--it's a job I could have done myself--for an overall average grade of B.

Overall the tile looks beautiful.  The job took 2 days longer than expected and the crew could have done a better job of clean up.  The tile work itself is lovely.

.I responded to a $399.00 big deal to tile a small bathroom.bath. David came on time. He showed me porcelain tile which I really liked. I asked about tiling a patio i , and again he showed me a porcelain tile that i liked. I added the patio to the job and we agreed on a price. Three workmen showed up a few days later and did a terrific job in both areas. They were very pleasant and spoke English perfectly. They worked quickly and efficiently and got the floors done in about half a day. One workman came the following day to do the grouting and replace the toilet, and when he was done everything looked great. A small problem arose when I found a pin size chip, barely noticeable, in on eof the tiles. They returned and replaced it with a perfect tile. The patio tile looked so good, i decided topto paint the patio. Two painters showed up a few days later and did a very good paint job. Again, they were very personable, worked well and quickly, and again spoke English. I'm very happy with the results and would use them again.j

It went Great.  I was pleased that i found them for my complete kitchen remodel.  They are very professional, easy to work with in the new layout process with 3d design and demolition, and installation.  The workers were corteous and helpful during contrusction process, especially if I had an extra request and the price was the best.

From the onset we were very pleased with David at GMS. We were planning to order IKEA cabinets and install ourselves, and we contacted GMS to give us an estimate on our tile floor. David asked if we would mind getting an estimate on the entire job, so we figured why not....and we are certainly glad we did! He matched the priced of the IKEA cabinets (even with the already cheap 20% sale they were having), and David offered higher quality wood boxes and a greater selection of door styles. They took care of everything from floor to ceiling, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, cabinets, and counters.
Everything was handled through David, so it was easy to communicate with him on a daily basis, and he was very responsive. Any issues that arose were also worry-free. When the existing tile floor was removed to reveal an awful sub-floor, that was removed and a perfectly level concrete sub-floor was laid at no extra charge. The electrician initially forgot to move a particular light switch over as planned, so when I called David, again it was "no problem" and someone was there to move the switch right away.
As for the cabinets, we had already designed what we thought was the perfect layout for our kitchen. Luckily for us, the cabinet pro, Golan, met with us to review the design and order the cabinets. His knowledge and experience really helped us to see a much better layout (at no additional cost, so there was no conflict of interest), and we are extremely happy with the design. One issue came up when we received our sink (that we ordered ourselves from Amazon) - it is an apron sink, which was not planned for, and Golan mentioned that the 42" cabinet (which was sitting in our kitchen waiting to be installed) would not be ideal and that we'd need a 36" cabinet. As with everything else, we were able to get to a solution that looks excellent, and David didn't charge anything more to bring in the new 36" cabinet instead. This was first class customer service every step of the way!
All in all, an excellent experience and a wonderful end result. From the time we met David to the time we had our kitchen finished, it was just over 3 weeks - pretty awesome, considering we were planning on a couple months trying to do it ourselves!

Everything went extremely well. I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List for this work, and they actually contacted me to schedule the appointment. They were very professional, and cleaned up at the end of every day. They were always on time, and they never tried to upsell me. When David came to do the work, he was great about just doing the one job that I asked him to do. The floor looks fantastic, and I'm using them in the future to do work on my kitchen.

Living in my home for over thirty years. The expert that came by explained everything in detail. They did a great job on my kitchen and bathroom and provided great value for the amount of work it required. They were able to accommodate my scope change of the project. They gave me great quality work and I couldn't be happier with the service. If anything, they exceeded my expectations.

We completely remodeled our kitchen taking out everything down to the studs. David did a fabulous job. He helped us plan and design the new kitchen. He also helped us choose new materials. David accompanied us to stores that provided great materials, appliances, etc.. His advice and expertise were invaluable. The workmen tore out the old, old flooring, cabinets, sink, lighting, and removed all appliances. We put in a new double glass sliding window. Electrical and plumbing work was implemented, all to code with permits as required. Most drywall was removed as some mold had started behind the sink. New insulation and drywall went in. Walls were primed and painted. The ceiling was re-plastered and recessed lighting installed. The beautiful tile flooring was installed and covered while the rest of the work progressed. The custom cabinets and quartz countertop were installed. Tile went up as backsplash. Under cabinet lighting, crown molding on top of cabinets, a corner unit of shelves were all completed. Appliances were installed.
Those are the facts of the remodel, but others aspects impressed us as well:
First, each day after work was completed the area was completely cleaned up! This fact alone made the remodel bearable !
Second, the workers were easy to deal with, and the communication with David was excellent, contact was easy, and on a daily basis we were informed about the work.
Third, David took care of any problems that came up. For example, the countertop color we desired was unavailable in LA so David scoured the area and found the right slab in Anaheim. I always had complete confidence that everything would be handled !
Fourth, the remodel finished several weeks early. Yes, let me say it again, the estimate was for a 6 week project and the kitchen was finished in 4 weeks!! We loved the kitchen so much that we ended up doing the bathroom as well!!!

I am really excited on the outcome of my project. Took a total of 10 days to complete. They covered everywhere when doing the demo. It was very convenient to have to only deal with one contractor who brought the plumber, electrician and even helped me choose the tile. The guys are very professional and spoke English. I love my bathroom and highly recommend GMS remodeling!!
