"Hello [Member Name Removed], Thank you again for choosing EZ Plumbing & Rooter Inc. We are Happy that you like our services from start to finish. We also thank you ever more for leaving a review, they are very helpful to Us as well as potential customer. Have a great 2016!!"
EZ Plumbing contacted me the same morning, and said that someone could be out to do a service call that afternoon.
My HOA property manager wanted me to make sure that the EZ plumbing technician was able to turn off the roof boiler in the event that water needed to be shut off to complete the repair, and the EZ office, after putting me on hold to check, confirmed that the technician could do so.
However, when the technician arrived, he said that he would not touch the boiler because of liability issues. He was able to reduce the water flow substantially inside my condo, but he could not complete the repair until the water was shut off by the HOA's plumber.
The incorrect information from the EZ office resulted in a delay of two days before the repair could be done, and I was charged $225 by the HOA's plumber to turn off the boiler for the repair. If EZ had given me accurate information about the tech's limitations, then I could have immediately gotten a qualified plumber from my home warranty company, and had the repairs done two days sooner, and for no additional fee.
The tech also had given me two options for repair time windows two days later, but when I called the office to let them know when the HOA's boiler plumber would turn off the water on the roof, the EZ dispatcher was very abrupt to me about when the EZ tech would come back to make the repair, letting me know that the dispatcher made those decisions, not the technician. I did not deserve to be treated with that rudeness--I was just doing what the tech had told me to do about confirming the follow-up appointment.
Also, the charge for the access panel was an additional $150 on top of the home warranty service call fee; for a piece of plastic and some adhesive, and about five minutes of labor, that price seemed way out of line.
Without the home warranty limitation, I will not use EZ Plumbing in the future.
"Hello (removed member name), I am sorry for the way you feel about how this process was handled. I would like to respond to the main points. We are able to shut off boilers, however the warranty company would not allow us to under the coverage of your policy so it would have been an additional charge from us as well. Your bylaws with your HOA state that you have to give a notice to the other occupants when the water is going to be shut off to the building so the others will be aware of the inconvenience while your repairs are in progress. Also, your HOA has their own plumbers and our tech was told that they are the only ones who can turn it off. SO we did not mislead you in that area. Regarding your conversation with the office. You had called in and said that our tech said he could return in the morning of the day the HOA plumbers were going to be there to shut off the boiler. Our morning was already booked for that day,We told you that it would have to be in the afternoon and that yes, our techs should not be telling any of our customers a time they will return because they do not make their own schedules. It was not meant to be rude. It was meant to give you an accurate time we would return to perform our task. We did not want there to be any kind of delay with the entire building being shut down. We even got our tech there at noon, the beginning hour of our window. As for the cost of the access panel, the price includes the part/parts, materials and labor and the skill it takes to make sure that it is secure and does not leak. It comes with a one year warranty under normal usage. In closing, we hope this answers some of your concerns and please know we only want to make sure you and all of our customers get great, timely and honest work from EZ Plumbing and Rooter. Please call us if you have any further concerns. Thank You"
"Thank you very much for your review. We look forward to being yours and all your family and friend's recommended plumber. Dont forget EZ Plumbing is also available on weekends!!"
"We are sorry to hear about your experience. I am the General Manager,James. I will do my best to look into this matter and find some resolution you are happy with. Now, if we reset the toilet we would have installed a new wax ring. So when the other person came out to fix dry wall, it makes sense that he did not see a warn or broken seal. I will follow up with you asap. Thanks James"
"Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity. We are happy you were happy with our service."
"Thanks for waiting for us. We schedule our calls in 2 hour windows to give our plumbers time to get to you. When we have a plumber at a home we do a complete job and sometimes the customer has more work or more questions and it can delay us at times. We do try to keep our customers informed of any delays as best we can. We hope to get another chance to be of service. Have a great day"
