Fantastic service. Trey is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Would definitely hire again. Also worked with Dean -- I called him an hour before he had to go into minor surgery, and he called me back a few hours later and worked with me to get the problem resolved. It's difficult to find customer service like that. These guys are the best. Highly recommend.

I have a Control4 home automation system in my home. The original dealer who installed it for me had proven, over time to be not so great at ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting with the system. After doing some research online I discovered DSCMI (Dean's company) and they had stellar reviews so I reached out to them as a  potential new customer. Not only were they extremely professional on the phone, but Dean, the owner of the company, was able to come over nearly immediately and take a look at the issue. He quickly figured out what the problem was and after a short trip back to his office, removed and replaced the faulty power supply in my system, eliminating the problem. He went on to inform me that there had been a known issue with those power supplies and made some calls that amounted to me being able to get it replaced for free even though it was nearly 2 years old. It was an incredibly refreshing experience after having worked with my original installer who was competent but a horrible communicator and generally unavailable once the installation was completed.  It also became clear that Dean was a Master in his field with knowledge far beyond what would be required to simply maintain a home automation system. That's what you need with these systems that can be complex to troubleshoot when an issue arises. I would not hesitate to recommend DSCMI to anyone looking to have any home automation work done. (Due to a technical issue I had some trouble posting this review when I originally intended to. Since I first wrote it, I have had DSCMI back twice to do more work and each time the professionalism has been outstanding. I really wish I had hired him some time ago instead of the goofball that installed the system.)

Dean is truly a professional in every way.  He showed up on time and as needed to program to get the job done to my satisfaction.
He installed a control 4 home automated system, speakers, lighting controls and AC/Heat controls.  I have three TV's in the house, he was able to set the system up to control each TV with sound in each room.  He also set the system up to play music throughout the house from my iPhone.  He programmed the lights to turn on and off with one stitch near the front door, and gave instructions on how to use the system he was very informative and detail oriented.

There were a couple items that didn't seem to be going well with the system, he replaced the part that wasn't working properly without hesitation then it worked perfectly.  He stayed long after his crew left to workout the programming to make it exactly as I wanted it.  He's more patient than anyone I know. 

The few times I've called about the system he has been patient and calls back when available.   I have recommended him to several friends and coworkers as the system he installed really has made my house a home!   Give him a call for a consultation.

Dean was responsive, professional, punctual, and very personable. He showed up at the house several times a day to check on the progress of the work and the crew.

The quality of the work was great and the price was fair.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dean and his crew. They were neat, timely and professional. I could always reach Dean via phone, text or email. He also stayed within the original budget estimated for the job. This was all very refreshing after having worked with almost a dozen other sub-contractors on our remodel job. We are now thinking of adding surveillance
cameras, additional lighting and shade controls. Once our budget permits, we will definitely be using Dean at DSCMI for the additional work.

Girlfriend and I bought a house last year and loved everything about it except the master bathroom that needed to be redone from top to bottom. It was a total mess and nothing good could be salvaged from that room. The bathroom had been built in 1964 and hadn't been updated since. It featured a Roman Tub which is a below ground tub/shower. Ugliest thing ever. The house also featured original cast-iron waste line which was partly clogged and needed to be completely replaced.
I got estimates from 4 different contractors and all of them came in around the price range (withing 2-3 thousand of each-other). I decided to go with Dean as he seemed to have the best vision for the room. As soon as he stepped into the bathroom he recommended moving the door to one side in order to maximize the space and allow us to have a dual sink vanity which we were really hoping for. He was very knowledgeable and instantly saw what could be made into a great space.
Dean's estimate was very clear, detailed and simple to follow. It didn't contain any hidden fees or impossible to understand terms. It also had a total amount which was to be paid at completion which didn't change as the remodel went on.
Dean is very easy to reach. He always replies to texts and emails in a timely matter and answers the phone most of the time. One of things I appreciated the most was that he would send status update emails at the end of every work day as to where the project stood.
His worker do clean work for the most part. Any major renovation job such as mine will cause some dust but his guys had sealed off most the house with plastic covers. The demolition caused some unexpected cracks is adjacent walls and his workers were able to fix them cracks and breaks in a timely fashion without any arguing or issues. Whenever another unexpected issue or problem would arise, Dean would send someone to fix quickly.
Dean supplied plenty of sample tile and colors for me to pick throughout the process. He also let me purchase the faucets and vanity myself which simplified the process.
The only minor issue I would have overall was that the remodel ended up taking a bit longer than expected but not outside of the realm of acceptability. The Roman Tub ended-up causing some issues which delayed the rest of the repairs. But everything was fine at the end and the bathroom now looks amazing. We are very happy and won't hesitate to go back to Dean for our future projects.
