I emailed the shop on a Monday morning. The tech, Matt, replied within an hour which was a pleasant surprise since they aren't open Sunday through Tuesday except by appointment. He informed me of their rates ($80 for standard tune-ups, $5-6 for cables, $5/foot for cable housing). Matt also let me know that the shop doesn't do welding work (each bike had a crack). I arranged to drop off the bikes on Friday and was again happily surprised that Matt would be able to turn around both bikes by the next evening. I found a shop nearby (Aero Custom Weld Design in Sunland who also did great work) to do one weld, and Matt ended up figuring out a work-around for the other using a hacksawing to do a custom modification. I returned the next day to pick up the bikes as scheduled. Happy surprises apparently come in threes as the job came in about $50 under what the estimate was. Also cool was that the receipt has clear itemization of the work done and they'll email you a copy as well.
Description of Work: After searching online I decided to have Bent Up Bikes do repairs on two older recumbent bikes.
