Edgar the owner came out and did an inspection and said that my 20+ year old shingle roof was an excellent candidate for this new shingle roof restoration process by Greener Shingles ([*** Link removed ***] It uses some kind of safe, USA produced Soybean extract oil applied to the roof. It soaks in and re-moisturizes the old shingles so that they return to being flexible like new. It comes with a 5 year warranty of flexibility and durability (which is the rejuvenation). The entire process for my three structures (house, garage, and pool house) took about half a day and was very low impact. Old roof looks new again. We will see if this stuff works! Total cost was a small fraction of roof replacement so I am very hopeful this works. Edgar provides a lot of info on the process and product used.
