Great! David is our usual service person, and he is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. If we ever have a question or need any supplies in between our regular dates, I just email him, and he does whatever he can to accommodate us.

Andrew answered my call immediately and  arranged to come out the next week day to see what needed to be done.  He was right on time for that appointment.  He and an assistant paced the pool, prodded the depth and gave me an estimate.  He agreed to come the next morning and start.  The crew started early. They gave consideration to where the water was expelled into the back yard to reduce erosion . The deep end had accumulated a lot of pine needles which clogged their pumps.  They never complained, just pulled up the pumps, cleared them and got back to work.  When it became obvious that they couldn't finish in one day (because of the pine needles) Andrew arranged to return the next day.  Once again they were right on time and worked as hard the second day as they had the first. They were conscientious and did excellent work.

Andrew has been to our house several times to help with the setup of a new koi pond. We needed some assistance with the plumbing for the filter, pump, and waterfall. He actually did the install himself and gave us some much-needed advice! We decided to add a UV filter about 6 months after the initial install. He came to the house and installed a few days after I called him. We will continue to call upon Andrew for all our pond needs. We like to maintain the pond ourselves, but as newbies to koi-keeping, we will undoubtedly have more questions!

Even though it was a last minute call (after 6PM on Thursday to see if they can come around on Friday), Andrew shuffled appointments around to come over the time I could be at home. He and his crew arrived on time and performed service very promptly. The problem was minor (although I wouldn't know how to fix it), and he showed me how to fix it. The pump was old and I was afraid that I would have to replace it, but he assured it would not be necessary and gave me tips to prevent the same issue from happening in future. They were very professional and helpful. I was very happy that I called them and would definitely call them again for any help I will need it for my pond in future.

The pond pump motor died. It would have been about $750 to buy a new one. Andrew had it fixed for about $175 -- huge savings and it works great again. My only complaint is that he disappeared for about ten days after he removed the old pump. Good thing I didn't have any fish in the pond.

I'm a new homeowner, and I think I've been spoiled by my experience with Pacific Pond and Aquarium. The previous owner had put in an (unpermitted, 4' deep) koi pond in the back yard. With a new baby on the way, we needed to get rid of it. I called Andrew and he told me he'd drain the pond for free and give the fish living there (a couple of large goldfish) a good home. I asked him, and quot;how much?and quot; He said since it wouldn't take him long to do it, he'd be happy to do it for free.

I convinced him that that didn't seem fair, and that he should take the pump system as compensation. (That would also save me the trouble of getting rid of it myself). He agreed. I also told him about the filter the previous owner had installed, and he confirmed that it was probably worth a few hundred bucks. He said he could probably find a buyer for that if I wanted. In the end, he drained the pond, removed all the mechanical equipment (including the filter), sold the filter, and sent me a check for $300!

A win win for everyone, if you ask me.

great. i initially spoke to andrew in mar. when i thought pump had failed. pump restarted but pond was filthy from the day i moved in and my attempts to clean it were fruitless. in may i arranged with andrew to have it cleaned. he came and took a look and quoted me 100. i was out of town when work was performed so i'm not sure who the tech was that did the work but i came home to a sparkling pond. i was billed for the amount agreed upon.

I was impressed and he was a very nice guy. He wouldn’t take any money for the house call and he recommended that we wait until spring if we do anything. He told us that the pond looked very good and we shouldn’t worry about it. He was professional and courteous, he knew his business, and he volunteered a couple of tips. I highly recommend him.

Overall the experience was satisfactory because the problem was resolved and there is no more leak. Andrew asked several questions on the phone, made an appointment and was prepared to attack the problem when he arrived. He was punctual and professional. The problem took a while to diagnose because of the number of possible culprits, but was discovered on the day of the first appointment. It took three additional days to complete the job because of the availability of parts, but the problem was resolved satisfactorily once the part became available. For the amount of time that was spent finding and resolving the problem, I thought the price charged for labor was very fair. Andrew also provided valuable information about proper operation of the filter. If I have any new issues with this pond, Pacific Pond and Aquarium will be right at the top of list to call for assistance.

We found Pacific Pond in the Angie"s list monthly booklet. We contacted Mr. Cleveland and he came to our house to evaluate the pond at no charge. He quoted us a price of $485 to perform the necessary repairs and maintenance. When the job was completed he only charged us $400. They showed up on time and they completed the work in a timely and courteous manner. They will be performing our monthly pond service.
