Derek and his brother and nephew tore up the old linoleum and carpeting in our kitchen and entry hall, and tiled the whole area. They had to scrap the linoleum off because it had been glued down all over. The tiling itself was a particularly tricky task because there is a diagonal step down to the living room which required some complicated angle cuts. Derek had previously done a smaller job for us in our bathroom so I knew he could do it...and it is beautiful. The old linoleum also ran up the baseboards in the kitchen so the cabinets were pretty icky underneath...but they were able to find some wood veneer that matched the cabinets and make it look real nice. They are not the cheapest company out there...but if you want quality, you'll definitely get your money's worth.
