The backwash tank on my pool filter developed a small hole (rusted through) and was leaking water. My pool service recommended a weld to plug the hole, but did not do that kind of work. So I came to Angie's list and found GB Ornamental Iron Works. I called late in the date Friday, they came on Saturday. I would highly recommend Lalo and his brother. They took their time to be sure they were not going to make things worse than they were. The weld was successful. I found both brothers very engaging, professional and easy to work with, traits I value in general! I would highly recommend this company.

The guy came out and knew exactly what he needed to do. It was great work overall and quick because he got it done in just few days. Their price was great.

George was at my house within 30 min. of my first calling him. He was completely knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a very reasonable quote, took the gate and had it repaired, painted and reinstalled within two days, which is exactly what he said he would do. I also had him build a wrought iron arch to go over the gate, which he did to my exact specifications and installed it as well. It all turned out beautifully and I was thrilled with the entire experience. I gave him a $40 tip because I think the re-installation turned out to be much more involved than he originally had anticipated. He had not asked for any extra compensation and was very appreciative of the extra money.

Overall, not bad for the price. The gates seem solid enough and are even. The motor is still functioning well after 9 months. My concern is with the paint job. When installed, the paint job had chunks of red paint that were clearly painted over on it. I think this must have been because they were transported wet and picked up paint from the bed of their truck. Now, 9 months later the paint is starting to peel. I am beginning to wonder if they were ever primed.

Overall EXCELLENT! George is very professional. Very accommodating to special requests and to changes during the project. He even took the time to drive around the neighborhood with me to look at other fences before I made up my mind on what I wanted. part of the job involved removing a low fence and extending it, then installing it in another part of the yard. George extended the fence with new pieces and matched them EXACTLY. The fence is perfect, and exactly like we wanted and the price was very competitive.. I would definitely use George again.

He came the same day I called, and matched my pattern from a book that he had on hand. He returned in two days to do the work. Great price!

Great. George was polite as well as a professional. The work they did was better than we could imagine. George always was able to talk to us right away if we had any concern. He set up an appointment within 2 days, and commenced work immediately. We had to slow him down, we had to wait for the stucco people to finish first. We are very critical of work done on our home, and an A+ wouldn't be good enough for this team.

Great. Originally called for an estimate on the front gate, but the price he quoted was so much lower than I expected, I asked him to do the back as well. Did everything they said they would in the time that they said they would. When I inspected the gate (after they cleaned up) I noticed that the latch was a little loose. They unloaded all of their gear from their truck and fixed that too. Very happy with them. Wish I had more broken gates for them to fix.
