Creager Construction

This contractor walked off the job taking the money and leaving the job unfinished. The cost to finish the work he left undone or that had to be corrected because he'd done incorrectly was almost 3 times what was due to him. I had to take him to Contractor State License Board Arbitration but they have a ceiling on what is paid out so I although I won my case I still didn't recover all my losses - and I had to spend most of what I did recover on an Attorney. Creager Construction is a small operation - most of the time it was only the owner (Tim Creager) and a helper. He usually didn't arrive till about 10:00-10:30am and left by 4:00pm. Not good about paying attention to details and made many mistakes. But in his favor, he does offer to redo and try to fix the mistakes - still having to redo things puts him further behind schedule or often things simply can't be fixed once done wrong and you just have to live with it. Making schedules and accomplishing the work he plans to do seems very difficult for him - every day the story about what he will finish changes. He also claimed he did work that he didn't actually do or complete. His quotes/prices are average. He might be fine if you just hire him to do your Framing/footing, but I would not recommend Creager Construction as your General Contractor. Also, if you hire him measure and check his work daily - he makes many mistakes and if you don't catch them right away it is a hassle or sometimes impossible to have corrected.
