Disappointed...
         After nearly 25 years of getting my cars smogged at Dwights my car passed the emissions part but I was missing my heat riser plate. I had taken it off because it had a crack in it and developed a rattle. I asked Dwight if I could go grab it and put it on and have it signed off as per the "visual" inspection. He said no. He stated that he would have to completely redo the smog check. I went and got the plate put back on the car and was back within about 15 minutes. He redid the whole check and it passed. The initial check was $52.00. The recheck cost an additional $40.25 even though it says on the sign behind his desk up on the wall that a recheck cost $32.00. I didn't say anything. My car is a very basic older car. Why didn't the smog mechanic notice that the heat shield was missing in the first place and give me a heads up? Instead he did the whole check and passed the emissions test then failed me on the most obvious visual inspection part? Apparently years of loyal return business doesn't matter here...

I use them two or three times a year. They do smog and stuff like that. I have had them work on my car when I've had problem with it. I have been using them for quite a few years, five plus. They took care of the problem quickly and I believe the cost was reasonable. They are very easy, it's like bring it in and they get right to it. It just sit for a day or two, they get right on it.
