We have been wanting to get a new roof on our old house for a very long time. We checked the list for roofers in our area and conducted interviews with 5 different companies. The quotes were from $9,500 to $14,500 After several rounds of interviews we picked Chris Parks from George Parks Roofing to do the work. What went unnoticed by every single contractor was that the roof had not one, but 3 roofs in total. We still were pleased with Chris and the way he handled that issue. The whole re-roofing process took about 8 days. The crew usually worked from 8:30am til 5 or 6pm every day. Chris was there to check on issues if there were any. The crew did quite a bit of wood repair on the fascia boards due to wood rot in some of the areas. The new skylight had to be a special order and that took about 2 weeks to get and then it was installed the day after it arrived. We just weathered the first heavy rain we've had and there were no leaks anywhere. Hooray for George Parks roofing!

It was a pleasure to work with George Parks and his crew. We wanted our house painted and I thought we needed a new roof. George came out, looked at it and said with a few repairs and touch ups we could get another five years on the roof. The quote for the painting was thorough and very reasonable. They came out on schedule and worked very hard, right through a heat wave. When items came up that were not on the original quote (mostly our requests) he provided a detailed update with no hard sell. The house looks beautiful. We would absolutely use George and his team again.

We are so pleased with the work that was completed on our 1954 stucco home in Long Beach. Chris got back with me within an hour of calling and was able to come by for an estimate. The bid was in line with other companies. We went with him because he was knowledgeable about paints and finishes. We checked out one of the other properties that they painted as well and were impressed. They started within a few days.The job lasted 5 days. ALL CREDIT goes to his crew. Peter,Mike, Miguel,and Silverio, were exceptional. They were respectful and always asked clarification before doing any repair or painting. Communication was not an issue. They were skilled craftsmen repairing stucco and wood damage. They only took lunch breaks and were on time every day. They were patient with the dogs and kids. Everything on the house looks brand new and cohesive. We would use them again in the future but with the quality of the work,we probably won't need to because it will last a long time.

After the excellent roofing repair job done by George Parks Painting & Roofing in October, 2013, we had Chris Parks give us an estimate to paint the house in the spring of 2014. Our home is over 6,000 sq. ft. and it needed not only full re-painting (including the garage doors) but there was considerable wood and window frame deterioration that needed repair. Chris and his team were a pleasure to work with. Chris helped me get through the Homeowner's Assn. approval process very quickly, hand delivering the paint samples to the Architectural Committee and giving them all the details of our project. Once the painting began, under Chris's supervision, his crew took great care to make sure there was no paint over-spray on the pool area or walkways below. Our homes have very small side yards and Chris made sure the neighbor's house was adequately protected from any over-spray as well. His guys spent days sanding and sealing all of my damaged wood window frames and wood door frames before painting them.. They clearly are a very professional company with all the appropriate equipment (scaffolding, ropes, etc) to handle a job as large as mine. Before the end of our job, Chris, my husband and I walked around the house to pick up any minor spots that needed touch-ups and they were taken care of immediately. Chris wanted to be sure we were 100% satisfied before making our final payment. The exterior of my home looks beautiful and I still get compliments from neighbors who pass by. I can't recommend Chris Parks and George Parks Painting and Roofing enough. If you have been putting off painting your home because it just seems too overwhelming, just call Chris Parks and in no time, your job will be done competently, carefully and most of all professionally. When I am ready for my next interior paint job, I will be calling Chris again for sure. Working with George Parks Painting & Roofing was the best experience we have ever had with any contractor!

They were here July 7-9. If I could give them an A+++++++, I would. I have never had any painters who are so conscientious, thorough, and neat. They were all very nice people, and it was a very pleasant experience. I am very happy with the results.

The 199.00 was to replace shakes that were needed and check my roof for any possible damage. He looked at my roof and said he would replace it and apply the 199.00 but I could not get it refunded. After talking to other roofers I found that the shakes that needed replacement could be replaced and I could wait a few years for a new roof. I believe I was ripped off for the 199.00

I did ask him for a discount at the end for the remainder of work to paint the remainder of the painting of the exterior of the house from the owner and he acted unprofessionally. I would only work with the son again. The cost was a good value.

They scrapped and sealed first. They did a marvelous job. I am thrilled with their work.

Chris and his team replaced the roof in a day and a half, including carpentry repairs for deteriorated beams and 1 x 6's. They removed a heavy wall air conditioner and repaired the wall and stucco, along with the other stucco repairs. They painted stucco and trim quickly and well, and after we had a new garage door put in, they painted the molding that the installer had added so that it would match the rest of the exterior trim. There was a wait of about three weeks for the windows to be delivered, but Chris's guys got them in quickly after that. We are very please with their work and the way the house looks now.

After the big rainstorm we found our roof was leaking, which looked to me to be around the HVAC unit. I called George Parks Roofing & Painting and set up a time for a estimate. I met Chris at the property and he took a look at the roof and while there weren't any noticeable leaks, suggested a standard maintenance of resealing all of the vents and flashing on the roof, including around the HVAC unit. He said that usually solves most leak problems - and is the first step before moving the HVAC unit to make more extensive repairs. He said that if it doesn't solve the leak they come back out a second time (free of charge) to seal again, in case something was missed. Luckily the first pass seemed to take care of the problem.

The painting part of the job was done well, but the re-roofing was troublesome. When the person in charge came out to see what we needed done, we showed him where the roof had leaked in the past (down the wall where the added room attached to the main house). He said he could fix the flashing at the joint and gave us a quote of $1,000. When the crew came to do the roof repair, they said that the whole roof needed to be redone too and it would cost an additional $1750. We agreed to the additional costs. Two weeks after the work was done we had a heavy rain storm and the roof that they repaired leaked everywhere, not just down the wall but in the middle of the room too. The wood on the ceiling got water marked & the wood on the wall became more water marked. They were prompt in coming to see the damage, but did not come to repair it until I called them again weeks later. When they came they were rude and said that we did not tell them that the leak might be coming from the flashing around the chimney. How were we to know where the leak was originating. We showed them the stains on the wall on the inside of the house, but we are not roofers, so we did not know how it was getting in. They did the repairs, but it has not rained since, so we do not know if the repairs will keep out future rain.

The work was done well and at a competitive price. The removal of the old shingles was done quickly and portions of the wood roof that were bad were replaced at no extra charge. As a family owned business, George Parks and his sons explained in detail all that would be done and helped us decide on the type of shingles to use. They checked on us and their crew often during the process to ensure that we were happy with the work. Flashings replacement and caulking and touch up painting were done as needed and the workers kept the mess contained and cleaned up well after the job. George and his sons were professional, knowledgeable and helpful and the roof looks terrific.

Chris and the Roofers showed up on time, a day after giving them the go ahead and completed the job in a professional and timely manner in two days, cleaning up after themselves.

It took 3 days to do the whole job. The workers started by laying plastic on the patio slab and covered windows and doors. They sanded and cleaned where needed before painting. The facia was sanded to bare wood where severe checking was noted and filled if needed prior to priming and painting. All wood doors and frames were prepared and painted. The crew arrived at a reasonable hour and worked a full day. George and his son showed up each day for a short time checking on progress. NOTE: DON'T KNOW WHERE "DECK MAINTENAANCE" CAME FROM, THERE WAS NO "DECK" INVOLVED!!!

The service was good, and it was done on a previous house that I sold. They were there on time, and they took care of repairing the roof. They gave me contractual write ups, so that when I sold the house, I would be able to give it to the new owner. They gave me a warranty on it, and they were upfront about some other things that needed to be repaired, and they told me that they could do it and charge me an arm and a leg, or I could just get the pops and do it myself. I felt they were fair and honest.

Great stuff. Competitive pricing, while offering more than most competitors: roof removal/repitch/replacement + cool roof. They were able to navigate the rigorous code requirements of Beverly Hills. Their knowledge is combined with a warm personality.8

They did a good job. When we had our first rain, there were no problems. Whenever I wanted something looked at or changed, they did it promptly. They arrived promptly and it worked out nicely.

Told all would be finished in two weeks, instead took 6 weeks because of delays on the custom window, but most of refacing was completed within the few weeks. George Parks and son, Chris continue to monitor the situation, making sure everything was done to satisfaction, and it was. Goyo, the foreman worked well with his team and did an exceptional job. Minor problem, because of heavy pounding on outside, inside section of living room drywall was damaged, cracked in several places, but Goyo filled in the cracks and repainted the whole section and now it looks like new inside and out. Very happy and satisfied with their work and will hire them for future jobs.

They worked quickly, arrived on time, did excellent work and did a great job cleaning up. We are very happy with the work.

I contacted Chris from George Parks Roofing & Painting and explained to him the work I needed. (I had to have several pieces of roof tiles changed out before we sold our home.) After asking me several questions, Chris was able to figure out my roof style and color, and then we schedule time for them to repair everything. Within a few days while I was at work, the job was done. What I loved most was that he was very direct and didn't try to haggle with me. I loved that it was so easy. The quality of work was great too. Since then, I have used Chris's company to also to do painting for our office building. It's always been great.

He was fabulous and showed up on time. He painted perfectly and forgave me for being late.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fair. I was not impressed. I don't think I would hire them again. The work was just fair to mediocre.

Once again I call on George, After the rains a couple weeks ago my tenant calls with a leak in his garage. George was able to fix the leak the next day at a fair price and he even water tested the area to give my tenant a piece of mind because he was going out of town for the Holliday's. I will continue to use the contractor as long as he keeps to his word he seems pretty reliable from what I have see in the past

George was very responsive and professional. I exchanged a few messages and then phone calls and he came out to bid on interior painting of a portion of my condo. George showed up on time, was very nice guy, and walked me through the options. Ultimately he estimated a cost of $4,000 and 4 days of work. While I felt this was extremely high I did not know and thus I got three other bids. For the same job the other bids were $1,800, $1,300, and $1100+Paint Cost. All of them stated that it would be done in 2.5 days. Ultimately I chose one of the other providers who did an exceptional job. I honestly think George intentionally priced himself out because it wasn't the biggest job in the world and he felt it wasn't worth it.

When I spoke to them, they said they would need me to go out and buy the materials prior to them arriving to do the work. I did not know what exactly they would need me to buy and I asked if someone would come out first to tell me what they would need -- primer? how much paint, how much could be done in the time allowed, etc. They said no, that at the price I paid, they would not do that. They simply would come out the day of the job, do the painting and leave. I was aggravated that on the one hand, they offered the deal, but on the other hand, they seemed annoyed with what my request for the basic information I needed to have them actually do the work. Seemed very unprofessional.
